I find it strange because I am kind of disadvantaged for being a PBS myself; if I were a partner of PBS, I would need to wait for 2 years. That's why I was asking.
Anyway, thanks for the answer.

Tier1 before July 2012 and then FLR(M) after. Probation?

I entered the UK with Tier1 General in 2010. After 3 years (i.e. after July 2012), I got married and got FLR(M). I thought I have to wait 5 years before applying for SET(M), but it looks like I have 2 years of probation period in the view of the recent new rules. Am I right? Could anyone confirm thi...

Date Applied/Docs sent: 27/11/12 Date Received Ack. Letter: 09/12/12 Date Biometrics Appointment: 14/03/13 Date Passport/Docs rec...

Many congrats to people who got theirs so quickly! I applied last Nov but haven't even received Biometric invitation yet. Finally got through to UKBA on the phone, but they keep saying I just need to wait. I thought the sooner I apply the sooner I will get the visa so I did it as soon as we got marr...

Oh, sanny26, sounds like you've already tried contacting them.
I know I might have to wait, but how are we supposed to check whether the letter was sent to a wrong address, Royal Mail lost it etc when we can't even talk to UKBA? How frustrating!

Any idea on how to go about chasing up?
The phone number given seems to be only for after 6 months.

No biometric permit letter after 2 months

Hello all, Last November I received a letter saying that UKBA received my FLR(M) application. But I haven't received the Biometric permit letter yet. Should I be worried? Also, this might be a stupid question, but I did a Biometric for my current Tier 1 almost three years ago (but no Biometric permi...

Tier 1 to Spouse visa case: how to calculate 5 years for ILR

Hello, My current visa, a 3-year Tier 1 General, is nearly running out and I am now in the process of getting a Spouse Visa. I know I can meet the 5 year requirement for ILR by getting 2 year extension on my Tier 1 but my job situation hasn't been stable enough to be qualified for the 2 year extensi...
