Ukba has recently said time spent under eea regulations cannot be used to add up to 10 year long residence for ilr.

My solicitor always said "ukba listens to those who cry out loud". The more you push, the faster the work. If not, they would wait and make decisions a day to the 6month rule whereas they could have done so within a week.

I asked because if they returned your passports for urgent travel without any residence card, how do they expect you to come back to UK.

That was exactly what I was going to say. I am keeping my expired passport with my new passport. I did not want to go through hell just to transfer stamp. Not worth it.

Do not laminate or do anything to it as it will make it invalid to use. Just put in a clear film envelop n staple envelope to your passport.

I still believe by the time a zambrano parent has been on DR card for 5yrs, it will finally lead to PR. All these cases are not specifically for zambrano though all fall under DR card.

GLH 2012, Did you write to them? If yes, to what address? My solicitor wrote to Paula Rudd who issues replacement COA as per FOI request a month before my COA expired but we have heard nothing. This is really frustrating. Hi mam2, my solicitor wrote to them several times but am not sure the address...

I called them this morning but they were of no help. The lady I spoke to said I should write to an address I already know and continue to wait as we have been advices to. I be just written same letter to 4 different addresses hoping one of them will at least answer/reply. That's how bad its gotten to.

What should we do about this situation? My COA expired in Nov and I have not received a replacement nor residence card. How HO expect me to continue working without one,onle they know. I've not done anything since then and always hope they will soon issue residence card. Oh how wrong I was.

From the look of things these days and the turn of events re EEA 2, I agree with the previous answer, yes. It will raise a lot of questions and suspicion. You might be genuinely married but you will still need to provide very tangible reasons why.

Well,they did put on their website in Nov that from 1st Dec, all applications for leave to remain or enter will require biometrics. unless they put the news on the wrong section but it was at both European section and the other ones as well. I'm sure we will start hearing from them soon re applicati...

HI Nat1979, does your derivative residence card has 'no recourse to public funds' written in it? They said it will have something like ' employment and business activities allowed' written in it. Is that right?
