My partner has applied for a visa to Ireland to study, but it was refused and he might miss the appeal date because of the things he needs to get. Irish citizenship through marriage January 2013

Do you need work to apply for Irish citizenship when you are married to an Irish citizen? We have child as well she is Irish citizen as well.
And other question is that is it any one who got their citizenship through marriage ? And after applying how long you have to wait?

its very hard to say your file with dealt within 6 months timeframe .there is alot of checks citizenship division have to do regarding every application.garda checks, socail welfare checks,immigration checks.its also very important which country of your origin ? i know few brazils, philipines,india...
