Re: Submitted visa4uk App, concern I've filled Part 3 wrong

Hi Shoonoo,
We are in a similar situation to you, confused by the online VAF4A application process.
Can you please confirm that Part 3 is about the applicant and NOT the sponsor?
How did you find this out?...We're getting lots of mixed messages!
Thanks so much
:)

Yes, that was one possibility, but I'll be working in England. Rather than have her wait in Australia for the visa whilst I am in England, we thought it might be easier for her to apply from France (we have friends that live there y'see). But we aren't sure if that's possible!

Applying for spousal visa from your non-home country

I have a UK passport and my Australian wife is applying for a spousal Visa to the UK. Can we apply for her UK Spousal visa from a country other than Australia...eg France?
Has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, yes, I could wait for my visa to come through - but that would mean my husband is in the UK and I am in Australia.

What I am asking is if I applied for the visa from Australia, but entered the UK *before* it was granted, would that void the application?

Thanks so much for that - although I still find it a bit confusing, after following it all through and reading the various acts, I think I should be ok.

I'll post an update when I find out more!

Cheers,
Rich

Good question! One of my referees is a retired doctor. I/he didn't state on the form that he was retired, although his age (78) was specified, which might give the game away. My application (UKM) was received in early Jan this year, and I haven't heard anything back from them. I'm assuming if things...

UKM via naturalised mother?

Hello all, I have a query regarding applying for British Citizenship through UKM means (I have already applied, but just wondering if someone could confirm my thoughts/reasoning). My history: My mother was born in Indonesia (1943) to Hungarian parents; after the end of the second world war they were...
