Re: UK Family Permit

I emailed EuropeanOperational@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk asking if my application would be taken under the old rules. Thank you for your enquiry about the new ‘Surinder Singh’ rules in regulation 9 of the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The new requirements came into f...

Re: Visa4UK online EEA Family Permit Application

True, it could go either way and I think at the end of the day it depends on the ECO. I gave all the information they asked for and also provided photos (of which only had my family and only his friends) and we still got the permit after only 2 months. I think the overall decision is based on a lot ...

Re: Visa4UK online EEA Family Permit Application

The questions you are asking about don't really determine anything about your relationship, you living together or how you are exercising your EU treaty rights so I'd think it was not necessary to answer under the EU law. However, UKBA will pick up on anything to refuse you so if you don't have anyt...

Re: Family - OCI application form

Hi, after proceeding it gave me these instructions. Steps for successful Registration 1. Read Instruction carefully before starting the registration process. 2. Make a list of family members who are willing to apply for OCI. 3. Start registration from Part-A, and keep registering Part-A for all the ...

Re: UK Family Permit

I understand that Southwest, it just sucks to have to bow down to them all the time. Its just not fair, especially when you try and fulfil their requirements and suddenly they go and change them when and how they want to. Directive/2004/38/EC: The wedding is in Pakistan. We are going back to the UK ...

Re: UK Family Permit

Basically, I have had a really long battle with my husbands student visa extension, then his appeals and then applying for spouse in the UK having just missed the new July rules. We then decided to move to Ireland and now we would just like to return (I've had just about enough and I'd like to just ...

Re: UK Family Permit

We want to travel overseas which is the problem, so on return he won't be able to enter the UK. I was think of writing to them and asking if they can give us the decision ASAP or if they can give him a code 1A or some sort of extension or re-entry to allow him back into the country without having to...

What kind of Irish visa has she got? If she has a resident permit that says EUFam then she should be fine.

Re: UK Family Permit

If the UK allows EEA applicants to leave the country while their application is pending, then shouldn't they have some sort of re-entry visa? I really don't want to risk re applying now after hearing about so many refusals. If my husband applies for a resident card as soon as he reaches the UK and d...

Singh Refusals following Centre of Life Rule

Hi everyone I have noticed a lot of UK family permit refusals recently after the new 'centre of life' rule has come out in Jan. I am interested in knowing the exact reasons and I'm sure it would also help others who are planning to apply via the Surrinder Singh route. It would be great if you could ...

Re: Indian visa for Pakistani National

My husbands current temp stamp 4 expires on the 15th of Feb, the day his resident card decision is due. If he applies for an Indian visa now, will they not accept it as he hasn't received the card yet? Is there a minimum valid visa requirement to apply for a visa outside your home country?

Of course I always reply on the threads to help others. I actually have no idea what help he needs. He emailed me asking for my help but I couldn't reply as he has restricted replies. I just thought I would let him know (it was the only way to do it).

Re: Amendment to EEA Regulation from 1/01/2014 Singh diluted

Thanks AngieD and dalebutt (for thinking of me). It helps to know the exact refusal reasons. I guess by the time the UK got it they put it under the new rules, which is wrong but other then that I don't think the application itself was very strong. I don't want to take over the thread but in short I...

Re: Indian visa for Pakistani National

Okay thanks. We have decided to apply in Ireland. The site only asks for a valid passport, one photo, filled form, fees and one proof of residence. Compared to the requirements needed in the UK, it seems too simple. Should we send more documents? Like sponsors letter etc? Also, do they keep the pass...

Thank you for your reply, it gives me a bit of hope! How long would you expect it to take? It says minimum 10-15 days on their site but in reality has anyone experienced it before?

Indian visa for Pakistani National

Hi everyone Has anyone experienced getting an Indian visa for a Pakistani national, either in the UK or in Ireland? I would like to know the chances of getting it as I know India can be very difficult at times. UK requirements are different to those in Ireland, they are more complicated but I don't ...

Re: Proof of date of entry

Maybe a record of the ticket or email you received when you booked your ticket? Or, if there is no way to prove it, you could count from the day you sent off your application for the resident card. I guess that would prove she was in the UK?

Is this what you are looking for?

Scroll down to European Economic Area nationals and Swiss nationals

So does that mean you can apply for naturalisation straight after 5 years?

Re: UK Family Permit

Thank you for the reassurance. I guess we will need to do that if we do get rejected. Normally, from what I have heard about normal visit visas is HO don't like it when they grant it and you don't use it. I'm hoping that if we at least use it, they can't hold it against us. The reason for it was to ...

UK Family Permit

My husband was granted a UK family permit which is valid till April. We had mentioned travel in November but we never got round to actually going to the UK. We now want to re-apply for a permit as we need it for longer than April. Do you think not using the 1st permit will be a problem? I emailed to...

Re: eea 2 surinder singh please share your experience

We applied for an Ireland resident card without my husband getting a visa or entry stamp and I think the same should apply in the UK. They can't refuse you on that basis but theres a possibility that they might not give you permission to work until you receive a decision. As long as you have include...

Thank you Brigid for your help :D

I will sort out the accounts and see what figures I am left with and will go from there! (No I don't have any children).
Are there any other documents that would help me prove self-employment?

Re: Paying Tax while in Ireland

I understand what you are saying and that it will help prove self-employment but I have genuinely been doing business. I thought it doesn't matter exactly how much an eu-citizen is earning to be exercising the EU treaty rights. I don't know how I can show a profit of 5k plus, if its not accountable ...
