I am also in a similar situation, self employed in Ireland since feb 13 and will be returning to the UK soon. We also want to travel shortly after applying so I woul...

Re: travel while waiting for eea family residence card

Sorry its me again! I finally figured it out! On the form, the question mark explains what the different drop down options are. One says European nationals, which as a NON-EU national you would not choose. BUT under the description it says: European nationals - This category is for all applications ...

Re: travel while waiting for eea family residence card

It says here - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/ecis/chapter10?view=Binary Basically, they say; 1.6 Applications should not be treated as withdrawn unless the applicant or agent has categorically stated that they no longer wish to pursue it. But as you say in the ...

Did you decide to request return of docs or ask UKBA? I would also like to know if you have any further information.

Oh thats great. How quickly would you say it usually comes? We are planning to travel so we were going to apply once we return. Can we apply once we reach and if we ask for his passport to travel will the application be withdrawn?

Can the non-eu national work?

Hi there I'd like to know once my husband and I return to the UK via SS route, will my husband (non-eu) be allowed to work straight away? I understand in theory he should be able to because of me, but is it really that easy? What would he say if he was asked what his status is in the UK and would mo...

Re: Got INIS letter today for temp stamp 4!

Hi all

I wanted to know if my husband can 'join' me in the UK if I left early? When we applied for the UK permit it was to travel together. Would it cause a problem boarding a plane to the UK?

Re: Surinder Singh method

I will be returning via the surrinder route. I know the rules are changing but if people are prepared to move to another country for the sake of the SS route, then surely staying long enough (longer than 6 months?) and genuinely making an effort to make it the centre of their life shouldn't really b...

Our decision is due 15th Feb, are applications being done in time these days? When do you think we should expect it? We would ideally want to leave Ireland before 20th Feb.

Pleaseeeee someone tell me it will be decided before 15th!!!! lol

Thank you both for your replies. Well I can show a profit if I don't show too much stock. I am not worried about benefits at the moment. I know it makes no difference but my husband works as well so we can support ourselves. We are planning to return to the UK in Feb, so I'm not sure whether I shoul...

Paying Tax while in Ireland

Hi I am currently self-employed in Ireland. I registered my business in Feb 2013 but applied for tax registration in August I think. I wanted to know if anyone has any idea when I need to file a self-assessment? And if I'm making a loss, how do I go about Tax. I thought I had to wait until I have do...

He was studying at the time and when he finished, we decided to apply for a spouse visa. I believe the OP's boyfriend is in the UK. I'm sure the financial re...

Why do you think people circumvent UK immigration rules? Okay, there may be a few who abuse the system but majority of the people are genuine. UK make it difficult for people to live with their loved ones even when the requirements are met. I have a genuine relationship and we went through the 'UK' ...

Hi

You need to get a GNIB card/stamp 4 before they will give you a re-entry visa. If you are in Dublin, you can apply at the INIS office in central. Both Garda and INIS are in the same building.

Hi Jambo I'm planning on re-applying and giving the reason of returning to the UK in May. Do you think its likely they will cancel the existing one? We would ideally want to return in Feb or March and settle before travelling in April. Its actually so disheartening. My husband and I, had just met a ...
