Re: Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card

It feels to my that you did not even need to stress about all these details as you are a non-visa national. You do not even need a visa to enter the UK, dont you? Am I missing a detail? If you attempt to enter the UK on arrival at the border by relying on your status as a non-visa national, you are...

Re: Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card
Hi, just wondering what ended up happening & if you were OK to re-enter after travelling back home for Christmas? I have the same situation now as an American looking to travel home next month with an expired EEA permit. Did you have any problems re-entering?
Hello to everyone, ...

Re: Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card

don't think COA will help you to travel, it's more for your employer. Don't think a FP will hurt your application either, it was said on the official website that you need to apply for a FP to travel. I am waiting for my 3rd FP to come through as my 2nd FP would expire soon and my RC is still nowhe...

Re: Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card

2) My understanding is the 2 applications do not interfere or cancel each other out. It didn't for members who used this approach. 3) You still have your COA and RC application in progress. Should come good soon. Stay frosty is just a more gung ho variation of stay cool. Or in English one might say...

Re: Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card

Carry evidence that: 1) you are the spouse of an EEA national. 2) if your EEA national spouse has been in the UK for longer than 3 months , then documents to show that your spouse is a qualified person or has the right of PR . 3) COA . Request entry under 11(4) . Thanks for this, also a super speed...

Re: Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card

Hello all, ... A few questions: 1. As a Canadian citizen (and therefore, no restrictions to short term/visitor visas to the UK), is there any chance of being barred from travel by the airline in Canada (as I have an expired FP visa in my passport)? Or is this just for people from countries where yo...

Travelling with COA while waiting for Residence card

Hello all, Has anyone found a good answer to your questions? I'm in a similar situation and can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere.... I am a non-EEA national (Canadian), my husband is my sponsor/EEA national (France). We were granted an EEA Family Permit in 12/2015, and applied for our Res...

Re: Rejection of visa

There is also a clause about having savings over £16,000, as well as additional savings (equal to 2.5x the amount you are 'under' the £18,600 threshold) if you don't have enough gross annual earnings to meet the requirement. For example, if you only make £18,000 a year, you are 'short' £600 of the ...

Re: Rejection of visa

Your case is quiet similar to mine, however I applied as spouse visa of british citizen. My income is 13000 annually and she is 17000 annually, i have done lot research on the financial requirement and i do believe they have to consider our combined income as we both are in the UK. For unmarried pa...

Thanks for the responses, everyone. It makes me feel much better about this all that there are other folks going through the same thing. In response to CDNgirl, we moved in together back in Canada, from January 2010, and lived together until July 2010, when my partner's visa ended and he had to retu...

Rejection of visa

Hi again, In response to saanju9, and CSilver, My application was for a FLR as the common-law partner of a UK citizen. I am a Canadian citizen, and me and my partner met while he was on a year-long holiday in Canada. I was rejected for a couple reasons (as far as I can tell): 1) Not showing ample ev...

My visa processing time

Hi there, I've been following this thread for months now, as I have applied for the Further Leave to Remain (from a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme visa) and have been waiting for my answer from the UKBA. Just thought I would share my 'timeline', so others could benefit from it in the future, as I have...
