For applications made in person (e.g. at a public enquiry office) the total fee is the relevant standard fee plus £375 per person (this includes the £100 appointment fee, which may be retained should the applicant fail to attend their appointment without good reason).

Unfortunately we don't have a choice or voice, we just have to pay if we want to stay. (sorry, didn't mean for that to rhyme) lol

I was also wondering if fees are approved. We have not heard confirmation. I agree - fee increase is too high - for my family of 4 it will cost us an extra £1,000 after 6 April (we do have to apply via PEO). :!:

Hi UpToDate, Just wondering how you managed to book your visa appointment (for yourself and two dependents) - I'm battling to do it myself. I've noticed that if i tryy book single appointment (no dependent), there are plenty of appts available, but if i add even one dependent then there are suddentl...

Hi Anandh, Did you manage to get an appointment for yourself as main applicant with your wife as your dependent, or did you book two separate appointments as if they were two main applicants? I noticed that it seems impossible to book appointments with dependents and would also be hopefully using th...

That depends what category you are applying under on the Set O form. If it is Ancestral, I don't think you do not need a minimum balance but if it is under one of the points based (Tier) then you do. I'm not sure what it is at the moment as it changes on 6 April

Do you know, that prior to 2003, ILR was FREE!!! Fees were introduced in April 2003 at £155.00 Iinfo taken from Wiki), and it has very steadily gone up each year. I started saving for this a few years back and was budgeting on needing about £3,000.00. The amount I now need for my family of four at P...

As far as i'm aware, the fees will increase on 6 April - we will also probably get new application forms to download that reflect the new prices. Irritating thing is it went up in April 2012 AND Dec 2012... We don't really have a choice - we just have to pay

You have more than enough. Letters do not have to be in both names but if you have letters addressed to you and your wife (from separate companies) but to the same address, then it proves you live together. I think you only need to prove two years and about 6 letters? What category are you applying ...

I was thinking of registering all my dependents and booking separate appointments for them on the same day at close as possible time slots.

When are you going to apply curious_2?

PEO appointment with dependents

I have noticed that when I try book a PEO appointment (on Set O form) with no dependents then there are loads of appointments available, but as soon as i add even one dependent (and I have two!!),, then there are no appointments available at all - at any time (even after midnight). Has anyone had th...

Thank you. That is helpful. I was just worried because you have to prove the child is dependent on you and my daughter has a part time job where she earns about 800 per month. I hope that dosn't affect the decision.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Can you please advise me. In section 5 of your dependent's application (finance section), did you put their income (from part time jobs), or did you put your own. Did you give your dependent's bank statements as well.
Regards
Val

On the Set O form, under section 5 (Finances), do you put your child over 18's income details (my daughter is part time student with a part time job), or do you put the main applicant's financial details (earnings, etc).

Hope someone can help answer this for me.

The dependent over 18 has to pay the full application fee (£1,377), but will probably go up to £1,426 (for PEO appointment) on 6 April. We have to make a separate appointment for the child over 18. (but as close in time as possible to the main applicant's).

Form Set O, Section 5 - dependant

My dependent child over 18 has to fill in a separate application form when we apply for ILR. Under finances in Section 5 - does she fill in her own finances (from part time job), or do we put main applicant's finances in this place.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

indefinite leave to remain - dependent over 18

I will be applying for ILR this year in the ancestry category. We are a family of 4. Husband is main applicant with myself and son (17) named dependents on his application. My daughter is 21 so must apply on a separate Set O form. She is a part time student and has a part time job. She still lives a...
