You fill in the main application online and then print it out but you fill out the correct appendix on paper, then you take it to a visa application centre and submit all your documents and give them your fingerprints etc... what are you applying for and where from?

Does anyone know if you can translate documents yourself?

Some people tell me you can but I have seen no proof of this on the UKBA website.

Thanks

Income and Savings Query

I have been trying to tell my wife that if my salary (outside the UK) exceeds GBP18600 we do not need to evidence any savings in the application. But she really really wants to include them. (just in case) Its delaying us applying because I need to get bank statements sent from home to China which t...

New method of counting salary with overtime included

Just read some changes coming into effect on Oct 1st. It used to be that the salary was calculated by taking the lowest pay in the last 6 months and multiplying by 12... However I have just read the statement of changes and it says this... In Appendix FM-SE after paragraph 18(b) insert: “(bb) In res...

I only know from what I have read that because she has applied before with another guy that to prove your relationship is subsisting and genuine you might need to show lots of proof and an interview may be required for them to check you are both genuine....(which I am sure you are). Bottom line is t...

So living together is not really relevant until FLR stage? That would make sense because there are people I know who have been living separately (one in the UK and one in China) so they will have more to prove to show that they are genuine...we have a contract and some letters with our address on to...

Evidence we live together

Hi guys, Applying for spouse visa this week. We have been living together for nearly 2 years and have 2 tenancy agreements in both our names, signed by the landlord. Oh and also, They use the closing exchange rate for the date of your application which is the time you pay online....what date do they use? The Chinese Local time I pay, or the equivalent UK time? As its 7 hours different, i could pay at 1am here and that would be 6pm in the UK...or do they use UTC?...

I find it hard to believe that even the UKBA would say that a British Citizen needs to apply for a visa to enter the UK. :? Why are you asking your 'hometown government' to speak to UKBA and not asking them yourself? My parents went to the local MP for some advice about my wife's Spouse visa applic...
