Alhumdulillah, My application for Naturalisation has been successful.

Approval letter received today by Special Delivery dated: 30 April 2014.

I'll wait until 25 April which makes it exact 6 months before writing for further update. Caution was for a fight, no further action was taken by the police. It was a verbal warning by the Police as far as I can remember.

I had Police caution in 2003 which I did mention in my application, always paid my taxes. Clean driving licence, no CCJ, no penalty ticket issues.

My ILR application was in storage for a total of 7 months and 4 days, total time taken to reach decision was 7 months and 7 days.

3 days to decide by the caseworker.

Hi Ged,

One thing I came across and that lady told me yesterday that 'Nationality Character Checks' are done before its allocated to a case worker....!!!!

If this is the case what does a caseworker do then?

This policy should either be operational or be excluded from the Section 7 , Annex B, Chapter 18 of BNA 1981. Good try though. I hope you din't lose any money (Even £65) Even the Nationality Policy Team weren't sure of this word "Protracted". Was an 11 hour round trip by train, only lost ticket money £41.30, Welsh people are really nice and I can endorse it they didn't charge me the NCS fee....:)...

I do not know why they have marked your case when the delay was not your fault, regardless of how the decision was made. I think you should make a complaint. Complaint....to who?
