Re: Document submission for MN1 application

Thanks for the swift response alterhase58.

Am I right thinking that there won't be any issue in travelling abroad after applying MN1 application? What if we get the approval when my kid was abroad as my kid would be officially British national at that time?

Re: Applying citizenship only for child (not for parents)

Thanks for the response.

I can see most of the people apply for their kids with at least one parent. This seems to be a special case, so just wondering if anyone applied like this and got approval?

Parents are not willing to apply for Citizenship but child like to apply for it. As per MN1 guidance (please see below), child can apply alone. My question here is, does any...

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

Thanks lr001 for the update. I think I may also need to go for B1 test. I hope it should be easier to clear and get the certificate faster than NARIC. I think it is 'B1 SELT – GESE Grade 5' (https://www.trinitycollege.com/qualific ... SE-grade-5)??

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

B1 level is also one of english requirements option which is 1st in the list, so it is either this or that (not both) I think  . i.e. I have a speaking and listening qualification in English at B1 CEFR or higher, that is on the Home Office’s list of recognised tests and was taken at an approve...

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

To be honest I still not convinced myself. I know it is a risk. OK, another try, I've looked at AN paper form (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/834937/form-an-10-19.pdf) and see below: Knowledge of language/life in the UK 1.22 How do you...

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

Hi Xterra, Thanks for sharing your experience. Yep, I've seen the checklist at the end but there is a note: " From the list of documents below, provide as many as you can. Tick each document to confirm that you have read the requirement, even if you cannot send it. " I think HO not asking ...

Hi Ir001

I think the guidance you mentioned is for Tier1/2 extension, I dont think it is applicable for ILR/Naturalisation.

Re: British citizenship (online AN form) - english language query

Hi Ir001 I'm also in the same situation but I was on Tier1 general. It is really confusing whether it is ok to go with Degree certificate (as we proved in our previous application) or we should get a letter from NARIC (or B1 exam). Not sure whether no one is in my situation or it is a difficult question. OK.
