My Employer had refused to give the letter. You are correct that the letter does not mention SOC code but mentioned Job Title against which you were granted Tier 2 ICT.

I am looking for option for Tier 2 General which I will post as a separate question on other topic now.

I think UK BA will accept the Reference Letter mentioning your Salary and its for the purpose of Home Loan.

some of my colleagues were successful with that. I will also be trying my luck with this in May.
