Re: OCI - Letter from Employer LTD company

Karthik, I applied for OCI a couple of weeks ago. The security guard at VFS Goswell Road asked whether I brought the employer letter before issuing a token. They seem to be pretty strict about this now a days. Being a company director, I submitted a generic reference letter from my accountant and it...

Re: Should the accounts and bank statements be of same 12 mo

Your earning period, the period for which you claim points may or may not be same as your accounting period (I'm assuming you are referring to company accounting period, right?). So if you are claiming points for 1/4/2015 - 31/3/2016, you'll need: 1. Salary slips for this period (12) 2. Dividend vou...

Re: Speed Camera Ticket

if you have not exceeded the speed limit for prosecution (search for 'ACPO speed enforcement guidelines'), you'd receive a FPN instead of court summons.

An FPN should not affect your ILR application, but a court summons might get you in trouble.

Re: Help with Application please

It should be the date on which your friend was granted Tier 1 visa (2011). However, you should consider the 2008 entry date while answering 7.13.

Re: Settlement application up to 28 days

I agree, as per my calculations, you qualify to apply on 4/3/2016. You should go ahead with your application. For peace of mind, do check this thread: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ligibility, which confirms the calculation.

Re: Letter of Absences from ex employer

First of all, your total absence in last 5 years are less than 180 so you don't have to worry this much. Check this response from UKVI on a similar query: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ilr_set_o_annual_leave_absence_l It says "If you are unable to provide the letters required the reaso...

Re: Employment History from HMRC

I'm a bit confused about this. I asked for 'Employment History' and they sent me a National Insurance record for the asked period. Could someone please confirm if NI history and Employment History are different things?

C6 is pretty straightforward question.

If your previous or first visa was an entry clearance or Tier 1 sticker (before they started issuing Biometric permits), you should answer 'Yes'.

1. Your accountant is right. As per HMRC you are employed, however UKBA will treat you as self employed if you are a Ltd. Company director drawing a salary and dividends. I was in a similar situation as you and I applied in person. On the form, I marked myself as 'Employed'. 2. I submitted following...

This is interesting.

Although, I can understand that the intentions are to block automated bots and crawlers who claim to *catch* cancelled appointments and later sell them for money, this will definitely make booking around midnight hours very difficult.
