Re: 5 years route to settlement - when will I be eligible for ILR

Hi Zimba , Thank you so much , it seems I can apply just before 09/10/2025 (may be on 8th Oct) when the visa expires and schedule the Biometric appointment after 26th Oct (within 28 days of 5 years completion of Visa start date). I have a doubt , although it was discussed in the post you shared , if...

Re: 5 years route to settlement - when will I be eligible for ILR

Hi Zimba , Thank you so much for the reply. We have a doubt , the permission to be in the UK is till 09/10/2025 and the start date was 24/11/2020. So counting from the first issue date the permission is ending 46 days before we complete the 5 years. Even if we apply 28 days before completing 5 years...

ILR Refusal and Right to Work

Hi Experts, My wife had applied for ILR as a PBS Dependant 5 year route in April 2020. We received an email in November indicating her application will be refused because the first 2 years she was on a Spouse / CP visa, so she has an opportunity to vary the request to PBS Dependant extension. Based ...

Re: ILR Rejection for Spouse

Thanks Vinny. We have responded to the email quoting the details, now awaiting an outcome. Since we did not receive a rejection letter, rather an email indicating potential rejection, we did not have an opportunity for AR yet. In your experience, are decisions once made reconsidered by the home offi...

Re: ILR Rejection for Spouse

Thanks Vinny.

Regarding the prior post (a couple of them in last few months), I had posted it on behalf of my dear friend who was struggling to create an Immigration Forum ID. Since I had an ID for a long time, thought of helping him out. In case that was an improper use of the forum, I apologise.

Re: ILR Rejection for Spouse

Many thanks Vinny. This is great help. Do you think it is okay to write back to the case worker citing this Immigration Rule or would you suggest I hire a solicitor at this point?

ILR Rejection for Spouse

Hi Experts, I am a naturalised British Citizen. I moved to UK in 2009, got my ILR in February 2014 and citizenship in 2016. My Wife moved to the UK on a Dependent Visa in 2014 December (I already had my ILR by then). In April 2020 we applied for her ILR (since she has been here for over 5 years). Af...

All is well that ends well

Hello Jibri, Thanks for your suggestion. I did that before I posted to the forum. I was told to send an email to a certain address. To reply to my email I was told I would have to cancel the appointment and re-book... which effectively meant I would be waiting for another month and continue having s...

Tier 2 ICT -> Tier 2 General -> ILR Possible??

Hell Experts, I am in the process of switching my Tier 2 ICT Long Term Visa to Tier 2 General. I am changing my job, thus changing my sponsor. My initial leave to remain was issued before April, 2010 and thus hopefully this process would go through... My question is, does it affect my eligibility fo...

Hello Experts.. I have an appointment for 11th March, 2013. I got it for myself after a week of sleepless nights last month. I am applying for Tier 2 General. But when I was printing off the appointment confirmation yesterday, I realized for the first time that the Appointment is for Tier 1 General ...
