Update: Our lawyer says it is not yet time to go for the article 8 route... I will be in court in a few days. To appeal my judicial review permit. Our situations are quite similar. I think your solicitor is not supposed to go down the appeal route as your refusal doesn't include the right of appeal. I used the registry in my council area, not far from my house.
I think you have to use a registry within your postcode location.

There is not much to worry about, so long as your relationship is genuine. Try not to be nervous & be completely honest about how long you have been living together, when you met each other & don't use any false documents/utility bills. They don`t ask that many questions & they don't ask...
