That's the sad thing, he did absolutely nothing. Although his wife started working a few hours before they applied for an extension, I think its just unfortunate anyway

Dont let down your guard by confusing "politeness for niceness". As an immigrant you equally need to polite, careful and smart to really survive.

Thank you all for your reply, and sorry for the long silence, the person in question has stayed in the country for just 1 year, and he has reapplied, I just hope that his visa is extended, because it will absolutely crush him otherwise

Extension Rejected

Hello All, I would appreciate all your suggestions in this matter. A very good friend of mine has just had his extension approval rejected, and is not entitled to appeal for the following reasons: He did not have a job offer and also he was not able to justify how he will take care of his family sin...

You are right, I have been working in my field for some months now, and at a reasonable level too. In MY PERSONAL opinion, there are really no hard and fast rules. If you are very good at the interview, that is you put your best foot forward, show you are interested in the job, but without acting as...

I got the piece below from the guidance note. What is important is that you should be able to provide some evidence that one of you at least has lived at that address for at least two years. Your spouse may have proof of that address for only a few months, and it will still be accepted: For example,...

Imran, the requirements as at the time I applied were expressly clear, and it had absolutely nothing to do with 2 years if you are married. if you are unmarried, you need to have lived together for 2 years or more and show proof. If you are married, you need to show your marriage certificate and 3 o...

If you are married even for one day, you will get your 10 point as long as you can show 3 or more solid evidence of living together. I had just got married when i claimed points for my husband, and that did not stop them from giving me the 10 points for spouse With regards to the full time MBA, try ...

Hi, Your current status has no bearing on your application. If you made the application and stated your correct cirumstances in good faith, as at the time of the application, then that is what will be used to judge your case. I do not think it is necessary for you to provide details of the job you s...

Hi there, If my memory serves me correctly, you are only allowed to be in the UK 3 months at a time, with the option of renewing for another 3 months after which you need to leave the Uk and then come back in. It seems to me that you are already out of status after 4 months. You need to get that pro...

Why dont you try putting in your payslips for the 2 months and highlighting the equivalent amount on your bank statement, and in your cover letter, explain what you have done. when I applied (and I got the approval) for my hsmp visa I only included employment letters, payslips and bank statements to...

i think you need to hold a chest Xray from a reputable hospital in your country, and present it when asked. This will make the process much shorter for u when u get to the airport

Hi, I was just wondering if it is wise to go all the way to indian to get married, and then start looking for a way to bring ur wife back to the UK, when u can easily get married here in the UK, get the right status, and then do the customary marriage in India. This way she would have no problems ge...

Hi,

If you have not yet applied for the 1 year workpermit granted to sudents after schooling, then why dont you do that? This way you will have the required legal status while your employer is processing your papers, and you will not have to leave the country.

Thanks.

I agree with you on the English bit. Although I do have an accent, I actually speak very good english, so I have not had any problems in that area, I just try to speak clearly, but I dont try to force an accent.

But all the comments have been helpful. Thanks

I applied directly. I have been for about four or five of such interviews. The employers always say that they will not be able to give further information on the application
