Re: questions about applying for FLR(M)

Hi, 1. Yes, although in my wife's application we just submitted my passport as I had no requirement for it for work during the application period and it currently takes around 4-6 weeks to get an answer if straightforward. 2. The part where it talks about time to apply for visas is in Appendix FM se...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

See flrm page 62, note 11 for definitive answer but my interpretation is that you can use one source twice, for me that was helpful as our electricity bill was in both mine and my wife's name so we could use two quarterly bills! I forgot to say before but if you can't provide all 6 items addressed t...

Re: VAF4A English Requirement for Wife

See Appendix FM-SE section 31. NARIC is required. English language assessment seems like the correct option to me.

Re: When is the latest time I can submit FLR M application

@bilalbilal and @casa the part where it talks about time to apply for visas is in Appendix FM section 1.0 5 year partner..., section 4.1 page 13 - not easy to find. In this section it states "...should not apply for further leave to remain no more than 28 days before their extant leave expires ...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Within flrm (the visa you will use) it requests 6 lots of evidence per couple (if addressed to both of you), alternatively you can submit 6 items of evidence for each of you, or as me and my wife did we issued four pieces of evidence addressed jointly (tenancy agreement and renewal and two electrici...

Re: Spouse visa from UK

Not an issue with overdraft, the bank account which my salary is paid into is often also in overdraft and this caused no issue with either spouse visa or recent flrm extension. They want to check you are receiving the salary you claim so it is probably best to highlight/point to payments on your sta...

Re: Interesting gem from the MM apeal hearing

@357mag, if you posted under the initial thread you opened last week then I guess you may have had more responses... In relation to the £18600, I can imagine a situation where this is repealed either due to enforcement of applicable charters or EHCR or even change in government, but it wont resolve ...

Re: An appeal happening on the 22nd

Hi all, not one for posting often but have skim read the vast majority of posts here for a long time and really enjoyed this one! For what it's worth I think the £18600 is way too low also, but as it is based at the level of 0 benefits it seems the right sort of approach. I wonder what level you cou...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Hi all, we have today received my wife's biometric residence permit. It has arrived before the confirmation letter or other documents but I don't really care about it, just happy that all has gone well! Our details are as follows: 06.01.16 - sent application 07.01.16 - application received (special ...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Congratulations to all of you who have recently been successful! Thanks for the in-depth useful information, it provides a clue to when we might expect a decision which is great! As a quick aside, rosevilla and oldnavy37 I would suggest you post your questions separately as quite obviously this thre...

Re: INDEFINATE LEAVE TO REMAIN OR SPOUSAL VISA EXTENSION ?

@casa and @cr001, just wanted to say from someone who has gone through the spouse visa and now in the process of flrm I have read through a huge number of posts on this site and both of your contributions and answers have always been really helpful to myself and my wife - thanks! I also enjoy the in...

Re: plz help me

My understanding was that under Appendix FM-SE 2A (i) it was recommended that P60's may be submitted. If the evidence provided satisfies financial requirement there may be no need but it may be requested which may delay the application.

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Hi all, been a while since I looked at this site - was really useful first time around. We have just applied for my wife's flr(m) and was wondering how long it would take. I see that it should be 8 weeks but wondered what the truth was? Our details are as follows: 06.01.16 - sent application 07.01.1...

It can vary but in the past it is around the 2nd week of each month, although the statistics were never published for February. My wife went to the VAC on Thursday to see if there was anything that we could do to speed things up but there isn't, she was told that average time is between 40-43 days. ...

Hi, I am in a very similar situation - my wife applied for her visa at the Rio hub in February (biometrics issued on the 28th) and we are still waiting. It will have been 38/39 days at the end of today for us. I aso presumed that it would be a very fast process and straightforward as I/we meet the c...
