I got my extension approved without submitting bank statements. They are not a requirement for FLR(IED). All I attached was my latest mortgage statement.

I don't believe I missed the point about the 4 years issue. The point is the HSMP was issued with a promise of ILR after 4 years, they cannot renege on that promise.

I realise most out of country applicants will have to apply a second time for FLR, but still the 4 year rule should apply.

I can't see how they can change legislation retrospectively. You will still get ILR after 4 years if you have entered the UK under the currennt HSMP legislation. Even the invite letter after the renewal invites one to apply for ILR at the end of the three years.

Ashish, I have heard about people who have been granted their ILR in spite of them being outside the UK for longer than the prescribed periods. They did however have to wait and additional year before they received a passport. Apparently the HO told him that he had to remain in the UK for 275 days i...

Hi,

You should receive a letter from the HO confirming they received your application within a week of applying. I suppose if you have a photocopy of your WHV (maybe get is certified) and you have the acknowledgement of receipt from the HO you should be legally allowed to work.
