None that I know of. Best to read the sticky thread on Entry Clearance. Or call the British Consulate you are applying to.

go to the official HSMP site first, it has answers to most of your questions (forms, instructions, examples, etc.) http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/working_in_the_uk/en/homepage/schemes_and_programmes/hsmp.html? and then read the forum, most of the announcements and sticky threads do cover your ques...

Hi. I think you should send 3 bank statements (last 3 months). If the past statements weren't much less than 4000, then you are ok, otherwise, let the money sit there for a while before applying. And yes, I think this is sufficient funds to bring to the UK for 1 person. Good luck. I prepared my own ...

you can email your caseworker directly, that would be the one who signed your HSMP letter -
firstname.lastname @ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

not sure how responsive they are now to email with their current workload, but my caseworker was prompt with email replies back in oct.

maybe we can make a sticky thread with job recruiters/websites for different areas of expertise? that way all this useful info is maintained there and successful jobhunters can post their experience.

Hi Brad, no, you don't need a visa. NZ nationals don't need a visa to transit through the UK, and you can enter as a tourist as long as you have a departure ticket with you. good luck, it's too bad that they decided immediately without waiting for your additional documents. it does seem they are pre...

I suggest you contact your caseworker directly to ask what information is lacking. Maybe you should have submitted payslips or tax returns to further support the work experience. The achievement does have to be a personal achievement, not as part of a team. But since you are the leader, you can have...

The sticky thread on the Entry Clearance process is useful to read. Some applicants reported being able to get a postdated EC stamp, others didn't. I do think it depends on which consulate/city you go to.

I think premium service means you renew in person by appointment, currently £250 (by post £121). You get your FLR same day. But HSMP renewals can only be done by post at the moment, so it's £335 for us. Nearly 3x as much as original price, I do hope they improve the service! Same for HSMP applicatio...

If these are education certificates/diplomas, send the notarised copies. I also suggest adding an official transcript of records from the school and a letter from your school certifying your graduation and degree.

answer to no. 3) I think they are very strict with the two year requirement, based on reading previous posts. The only way you can get around it is if you can prove you were already living together at least 1 year before you got married (so two years living together total).

I think it is better to send your passport for FLR in Nov. 2005 and then fax an urgent treatment form with a copy of your plane ticket to NZ.

It's ok, there's no rule against this. There are a few people (myself included) who applied for WP in case the HSMP process would take longer or be unsuccessful. In my case, my employer pulled out the WP application the moment I got the HSMP approval letter.

Re: ref letter with no details of duties and responsibilites

hi kcr, the detailed duties and responsibilities are essential. can you get your direct superior or someone else who knows you well at work (instead of personnel dept) to write you this letter? as long as it is on official letterhead and states the person's position it is ok.

You cannot get the £150 application fee back. As for the agency fees, you'll have to ask them directly. It's best to just let your application get processed if you can wait.

As ManofGod says, the visitor visa will not be cancelled. Your friend won't submit the passport during the application. He will only submit it for the EC to his local consulate after HSMP approval. He won't have to give anyone his passport if his HSMP application is rejected.
