ESA for partner

My husband is my sponsor and I'm on a spouse visa.. He has a long standing disability, cannot work and has been claiming ESA as a single person for years. He has been told he needs a re-assessment because he is now married. I looked at the form and it is very detailed. Will he actually get more if h...

Have you considered returning to your home country to apply? Spouse visa applications from outside the UK have a maximum waiting time of 12 weeks. Your husband meets the financial requirements and you can claim rights to a British child in the UK.

Thanks Iyanu @ Adima, It was from the VFS in Lagos however it took nearly three weeks for me to be notified. I assume this is the amount of time it takes for the application package to return to Nigeria from the UK. The reference is Sheffield. When you applied (from May onwards) they changed the sys...

That's great thanks! :-) That's probably why I couldn't find it online because its not the case. I applied from Nigeria in late April and it was issued late June so it took 2 months. It's my first time application for a Spouse visa.

Spouse Visa Successful

So happy to have been granted a spouse visa! I had some concerns as per my previous questions and I'm grateful for the support I received from this forum. I just have one more query: I read somewhere that the applicant is expected to travel within 40days of the visa being issued but now that I need ...

Yes it sounds like you're covered but if you could get a note / letter from your first employer that reflects the total you were paid over the last year or your initial employment contract that includes your expected salary. In your application letter, explain the missing payslips (people have been ...

It's interesting that they put up the prices from £829 to £900 and still managed to transfer the cost of sending the application to the applicant. When I submitted mine, it was still 'free'

Thanks Obie for that reply - I had been wondering about this but couldn't find more information on it. I believe we have 'insurmountable obstacles to family life with my partner continuing outside the UK' so I really hope this would be taken into account for my recently submitted application. My par...

It would have been good if the petition actually focused on getting UKBA to reduce the processing time of 90 working days, which really is a torture - especially when you're just sitting around in your 'home country' waiting to hear back from them. The rules were tightened because the system was bei...

Latest VAF4A Application Form?

Hello, If I do not want to apply online (I prefer to print out the PDF) where can I get the current VAF4A form? The one I have is the December 2012 version and it appears there might be a new one after reading this on the UKBA website yesterday: You should use the new application forms from 6 April ...

Sponsor on benefits

Hello

I want to put forward an application for a Spouse Visa, however my sponsor is a DLA recipient. I want to confirm what minimum financial requirement will have to be met to be exempt from the general suitability category.

Thanks
