Re: Using a EU family Schengen visa

It's a Schengen visa. Not a German visa. You can visit the Schengen area with it. And Netherlands is in the Schengen area. I have ILR and I'm married to a British citizen. I was issued a multiple-entry Schengen visa as a family member of an EU citizen. Once scanned, the visa notes specify that it i...

Using a EU family Schengen visa

I have ILR and I'm married to a British citizen. I was issued a multiple-entry Schengen visa as a family member of an EU citizen. Once scanned, the visa notes specify that it is only valid when I'm travelling with my spouse. We have visited the country that issued it (Germany) but I'm wondering if I...

Re: Spousal Visa Overstayers

It's not clear if the Home Office have your passport or a copy of it - If it is proving too difficult to get it back, you can apply for a Jamaican passport from the consulate/embassy. You seem to have very good chances of being granted a spouse visa from your home country, since your spouse meets th...

Re: Cash Savings SET (M)

Afternoon all, There seems to be some confusion regarding the subject of cash ISAs, so here is my question: For a SET (M) spousal ILR visa, is a cash ISA an accepted account for cash savings (held for at least 6 months) and what is the level of funds needed. I believed it to be 62.5k but apparently...

Congratulations and thank you for sharing. How long ago did you book your premium appointment to get your May 11 date? It seems they have nothing available for the next 45 working days in Croydon

Re: ILR Spouse route - cash savings

Yes, you're correct. As long as your annual income - if when combined with your cash savings comes up to £34,600. But there are variables in those figures - depending on the savings you have you might not need to include employment details at all. It's best to do a web search for ' appendix fm 1.7 f...

Re: ILR Spouse route - cash savings

Forgot to add more information. I am going to summit my cash savings combine with my partners income. Ensure that it is from paid employment, as self-employment is not allowed to be combined with cash savings. And your one-page statement should be fine, as long as it can be verified that you have h...

Re: BRP getting expired and travelling

Thanks, although I don't think you understood me well. I don't expect to use a BRP as an automatic right to enter any other country apart from the country that issued it. What I was referring to is the fact that the guidelines for visa applications to almost every country requires that you have at l...

BRP getting expired and travelling

Hi CR001, if you don't mind elaborating more, I've been wondering about a similar situation but didn't want to open a new thread as its close to this So in the months leading up to the expiration of the BRP, does that mean holders of spouse visas can't really travel anywhere? A lot of countries requ...

Thanks. For the savings financial requirement option, does anyone know whether premium bonds certificates can be used, as they are cash savings and I have immediate access to the funds, should I choose to withdraw them.

Re: FLR to ILR requirements

Thanks. As an alternative, can I also rely purely on my savings? On the guidance notes, it includes cash savings of over £16k. I was surprised to find this as it used to be £62k when we last checked.

FLR to ILR requirements

What are the financial requirements for going from FLR (five-year spouse route) to ILR? Initially, we were exempt from the financial requirement but due to cuts, we would no longer qualify as we no longer receive those disability payments. Can the British sponsor be unemployed but the applicant earn...

Schengen visa query

I was issued a Schengen visa as a spouse of a UK citizen and we have travelled into Europe once with it. As it is a multiple entry visa, I’m wondering if it means that each time it is used that we must be travelling together or if I can use it on my own? I ask this because when we actually arrived, ...

Re: When is the latest time I can submit FLR M application

Hello guys,

My visa expires on 26th March and I will not be ready to submit the FLR(M) extension until 7th March, as we are still waiting for bank statements to be sent to us. However I am not using the premium service. Is this OK? Getting quite worried after reading the timelines.

Young overstayer in abuse situation

Hi everyone, Someone I know is in this predicament, what can we do?: She came to the UK unaccompanied but legally aged 13 on a six month visa, which has been overstayed for 14 years, never left the country in that time. She does not have any criminal records, however she was sexually abused (in the ...
