They only appear in the 'sent' folder once a member reads the PM. If a member DOES NOT have PM access (many don't so depends who you are sending to), then your PM will stay in the 'outbox' folder.
Thank you, CR001.

PM's only appear in outbox, not sent?

Hi, I just tried PMing two members of this board. I noticed the PMs are still showing in the outbox folder and not the sent folder (where other PM's I've sent in the past appear).

Does this mean the PM's in the outbox folder have not been sent for some reason?

Going to ask HMRC for a letter that says this....

We need to show that we are either director of a company or currently registered as being self-employed in the three months before applying for extension and IRL. Right now I am only registered as self-employed, so I need to present the HO with a letter from HMRC confirming this (I don't know what o...

180 days out of the country confusion

I'm slightly confused by the amount of time our T1E visa lets us be out of the country as some posts imply that it is 180 days in TOTAL during our 5 year period and others imply that we can be out of the country for 180 days in each 12-month period during our 5-year period. I have always assumed tha...

I've now gotten through to HMRC and they confirmed it takes 14 days for a letter to arrive. Thanks everyone.

Re: Self-employed evidence within 90 days

A1. It should be within 90 days of your application A2. Call HMRC and tell them that you need a letter to confirm your registration as being self employed and they will send you a letter. This is what I did when I applied for my visa extension Thank you for your answer. Do you know how long it take...

Re: Self-employed evidence within 90 days

What I also don't get is why they don't specifically state the evidence they require to show you are self-employed in the guidance. How are people supposed to know what the HO considers what is acceptable evidence and what is not?

Self-employed evidence within 90 days

Hi, I had questions about the evidence required for extension and ILR if you are self-employed and not a director. 1. You must show you are self-employed within 90 days before applying. Is that 90 days before your visa expires or 90 days before you apply? I ask because you can apply 28 days before y...

Re: Evidence of self-employment in the immediate 3 months before ILR?

Hi all - sorry to bump this, but I desperately need help on this. I've Google-searched for three days and can find no answers. Does anyone have an idea of the evidence we can use to show this? Have you checked if HMRC can issue you a statement of NI due to be paid ? I recall getting one of those wh...

Re: Evidence of self-employment in the immediate 3 months before ILR?

I have also found this in the 04/17 Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) of the Points Based System – Policy Guidance: Evidence of current registration - Self-employed applicants 163. If you are self-employed when you apply, you must provide documentation to demonstrate that you are registered as self-employed wit...

Evidence of self-employment in the immediate 3 months before ILR?

HI all, I'm applying for my ILR in November (5 year T1E route). I understand all the evidence requirements except for one: Evidence for business registration – self employed. For this, you need to show that you are currently registered as being self-employed in the 3 months right before you apply fo...

When can the Life in the UK test be taken?

Are we allowed to take the Life in the UK test any time during our extension period before applying for ILR? I mean, does it need to be taken in a certain time period, like the three months before you apply for ILR, or could you take it six months before you apply? Does it matter?

Re: The super premium service is now available for T1E

We can't use this service for Tier1 entrepreneurs I think we now can. Notice the new application says " All Points Based System applications". It doesn't list any exclusions. Whereas just a few lines below, it says " Indefinite leave to remain applications - any form name with a pre-...

Re: What does a settled person means for hiring an employee?

Is an EU-employee (mine is from Spain) still considered a "Settled worker" if he has a home in both the UK and Spain? In my situation, the employee pays all taxes in the UK and works in the UK and also lives here most of the year in his flat. Also this worker has lived in the UK for at lea...

Re: What does a settled person means for hiring an employee?

Sorry, so just to be clear: so then if I found a potential hire I love, but that hire is a Portuguese citizen living in the UK who doesn't have "permanent residence" they'll still count as a "settled worker" for T1E extension and ILR purposes?

Does an EU worker need to have "permanent residence"?

I'm a bit confused from various postings on this board.

So YES or NO: if we hire a settled worker who is an EU citizen (and thus has the right to live and work in the UK) but does not have a permanent residence card/stamp will they count as an employee for our T1E extension and ILR?

Documents to gather & what to do when brining on an employee

A lot has changed with employee law and documentation in the last few years (for example, a P46 no longer exists). I have compiled this list of things you need to do, document, collect when bringing on an employee from April 2016. Note that some of these things (like employee liability insurance) is...

Hi, yes, perhaps my original question wasn't clear. I meant: for the T1E visa is som...
