Did anybody receive their payment confirmation letter yet? I am applying for a Tier 2 sponsored worker visa but the letter states 'Type of Application - FS'. Does anybody know what this stands for? I am keen to make sure I haven't booked the wrong type of appointment.

What does 'Type of Application - FS' mean?

I booked a premium Tier 2 appointment in Cardiff and I received a letter confirming that I paid the appointment fee. The letter states that my 'Type of Application' is 'FS'. Does anybody know what this stands for? I want to make sure I haven't accidentally booked in for the wrong type of appointment...

Withdraw an application w/o reference number?

I have not received my acknowledgement letter yet for my postal Tier 2 application so I am unable to complete the request form but I have booked an in person appointment for May and I need to make sure tha...

Payment for PEO appointment in Cardiff

I managed to book an appointment for late May in Cardiff. I have paid the £100 booking fee so how do I pay the balance? The PEO payment form (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/payment/payment-form-main-app) is confusing so I am seeking clarification. The visa type is Tie...

Re: Tier 2 Application

I am doing the Tier-2 application by Person and I have my visa appointment next week. I have filled in most of the sections in the Tier 2 application form (downloaded the latest version from UKBA). I would like to you clarify a few points: 1) Question C3 (page 12) “Do you have any passport or trave...

Does anybody know how long it takes for return of documents?

I need to withdraw my application which I submitted last week as I managed to book an in person appointment for late May. Does anybody know how long it will take for me to receive the documents once I submit the 'Return of Documents' form for Tier 2 and Tier 5 applications? On this page (http://www....

I believe that if you are a Tier 2 applicant you can arrange for a courier to pick up the documents from the UKBA if you know who your case worker is. Have a look on the website but I believe that return of documents is quicker for Tier 2 and Tier 5 in country.

Return of Documents for Withdrawn Application

Hello, I was just wondering how long it actually takes for people to receive their application materials once they have withdrawn their application? I am an in-country employer sponsored Tier 2 applicant. My lawyer suggested he would be able to book me a premium appointment and that this would be qu...

Re: URGENT: Will my Tier 2 be invalid?

It was postmarked 5 April so that should be taken as the application date and the website states only applications made after 00:01 on Saturday 6 April are under new rules. Should be OK. That would be fine then.. Good luck, I made mine @ 4th .. mmm i had some problem, need to contact Ukba... lost m...

Re: URGENT: Will my Tier 2 be invalid?

On Friday I submitted my Tier 2 application by post. I only included my mobile phone number and not a home number or a work number because I am currently in the process of moving home. I ticked the box for mobile as being my preferred number. Will this result in my application being invalidated? Ma...

Five months is bloody ridiculous! Benefits of hindsight etc. but you could have actually justified using the £6,000 premium service on the basis of lost income! Did you ever receive an explanation or an apology? Hopefully uncertainty surrounding how the UKBA's abolishment will be managed and questio...

Many thanks. Having read through different posts in this forum, I think I may have been left with a somewhat skewed impression of how anything that can go wrong will go wrong when dealing with the UKBA so I am rather stressed. I also question whether the experiences of people who post on this site a...

Tier 4 to Tier 2

Hello, I finished my PhD a few weeks ago and my new employer has provided me with my CofS number today. I already have a biometrics card from my Tier 4 visa so my question is, will I need to register my biometric data again for the new application? If they already have this information on record, wi...
