Re: Job title in the new Cos extension soc code

In addtion to what Manci has mentioned. Looking at your visa expiry date of 15 December, you can NOT apply for visa extension until 15 of September because of these two reasons from policy guidance for sponsors. 23.8 Once you have assigned a CoS, it can be used by the migrant you have assigned it to...

Re: When to apply for Tier 2 general extension

I think the rules of Tier 2 general extension before the period of visa expiry has changed. 39.18 When you assign a CoS to extend a migrant’s leave in the same tier and category, the start date on the CoS should be the day after their current leave expires. So basically we have to wait until 3 month...

Re: Tier 2 (G) extension - query on SOC2000/2010 codes

I have a similar issue.
In case my employer has to do a RLMT to accommodate the new SOC requirement. Will my application not be considered at an extension application ?

Would it be an OK if the job title change in COS for visa extension while core duties remaining the same ?

Re: 3 Questions regarding Tier 2 visa extenstion

hi Mancy,
Thanks for you reply. its appreciated.

Hi psw2009
Our doubts are the same and according the Manci you can extend anytime as long as you've got a valid COS.

3 Questions regarding Tier 2 visa extenstion

Hi, I would like to ask three questions regarding my visa extension. I was granted Tier 2 visa under SOC 2132 and current visa expires on 1 November 2014. 1. I am planning to apply for extension in April 2014. How early from visa expiry can I apply for visa extension ? 2. My current job title under ...

Annual payrise under Tier 2 query

I am on Tier 2 visa and received a payrise from my employer. Does that need to be notified to UKBA ? If so, how can that be done ?

I couldn't find an answer in the policy guidance.

Thanks in advance.

I was given tier 2 visa in May 2011

My concern is not choosing the right SOC code but its about RLMT requirement as my SOC code is changed from my original application.

Thanks for the response.

So during visa extension. You will be applying for COS with new job title mentioned in 2119 matching your job description. There is no need of doing RLMT in which case.

Am I correct in saying that ?

That would mean applying for COS with a new SOC code from previous one. Would my employer has to do a RLMT ?

We thought the same thing to use the same SOC code and job title as last time but there are few problems 1. We Wouldn't have an indicative salary expectation by UKBA for my job title 2. It get more complicated with increased salary for Experienced workers 3. Old SOC codes doesn't exist anymore For e...

Tier 2 extension - My job title doesn't exist new SOC list

Hi I am due for visa extension end of this year. However, the job tile under which I was granted visa doesn't exist in the new SOC code list. There are other job titles in the same SOC which match the my job responsibilities. I will be applying in same SOC (old matched to new code) code but differen...
