Re: Biometric permit did not arrive - whom to contact?

I 'd like to finish the story: I sent an email to the link they provide in the approval letter twice, and I've got the same automoatised responce (basically, that they would delete it without reading) Then I simply went online to gov.uk and reported BP not arrived via their general form: https://www...

Re: EEA2 EXPIRED WHILE ABROAD.HOW TO RETURN TO UK

1. Eurostar is NOT easier to use then air travel, if you have a shaky visa situation. In fact, they give you more problems if you use Eurostar. 2. If you apply for Residence Card now and get your passport back and your biometrics done before leaving the country, then you should be OK. It seems biome...

Re: previous passport in non eea pr /Travel history for PR

For people in similar situation: Last friday I actually reported that the permit did not arrive on HO official webpage: https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/not-arrived (Even though it is not what the letter we received recommeneded) Thoday I got a reply: ************* Thank you for the en...

Re: EEA (QP) EEA (FM)

Send it by post (special 1day delivery) to the same address where you sent all documents before. Mention case number(s) - I would write those case numbers also on the envelope, and probably in red; write what happened. Note that you should have received 2 emails - one email for each applicant, and 2...

Re: EEA (QP) EEA (FM)

Your biometrics letter should be on your name. HO does not ask EU citizens to do biometrics, since their passports/ID are already contain8mg biometrics required. You should also get 2 emails with different case numbers - one for your husband and one for you. They can came at different times though. ...

Re: EEA FP Applying for EEA QP with wife once in London

Calling them about your case is rather uselss.. If you find out that there is some important evidence you did not send, you can send it to be added to your case. You should get a biometric letter rather soon (about 10 days probbly) which is some indication that things are going in a right direction,...

Re: EU FAMILY VISA EXPIRATION + PROBLEM

They have certain rule for what constitutes “genuine employment”. If EU does not meet those, she can apply as “self-sufficient, relying on non-EU partner’s income, ut then she has to have private insurance. If there was no insurance when she did not work in the past, then she cannot apply for PR. He...

Re: EEA (PR) for dependent parent: Proof of dependency

No I did not highlight anything - I just said in a supporting note something like - "one can see that we have joint account, and by the way all money going in there were coming from me" Again, I was framing all this as "my mother is the member of our household, she lives with us and w...

Re: EEA (PR) for dependent parent: Proof of dependency

Yes, we’ve got the PR residency card for my mother approved (6 weeks time - we applied in early september, and her biometric card arrived on October 18). My mother is over 70, lives with us, and does not work (never did in UK). We live in the same place from september 2013, I work in the same place ...

Please re-read my post just above yours - I think it explains it in details.
Since we are talking about PR, it is about dependency or household membership AFTRER arriving to UK.

Biometric permit did not arrive - whom to contact?

Dear all: we'we got an approval latter from HO about a non-EU family member (child) PR, dated October 2. But the permit itself still did not arrive. Following the guidance on the gov.uk webpage and on the letter, I sent an email to BRCDelivery@homeoffice.gov.uk. However, I received an automatic resp...

Re: Definition of 'sponsor' in EEA FP form

It is “legal” sense. They do not care how much you or he earn. He is your sponsor in that the one and only reason they vouls allow you to li e in UK is him and his activities, no matter what you do before or after going to UK. You only need to show that he is EU citizen and that you two are in genui...

Re: Permanent Residency appeal refused.

It seems she applied for “reconsideration”, not judicial appeal. (This is free). They only “reconsider” if decision was their mistake (like they did not notice some evidence she sent). Most probably, in her case she did not send sufficient evidence first time, so it was not their mistake. Thus, inst...

Re: Non-EU Child of an EU Citizens

I have friends - Russian/French and Italian, living in France. When their daughter was born a few years ago, Italian passport was the quickest and easiest to get. Otherwise at any frontier crossing they treat kids same as adults. Brasil is not a visa country for UK. So they will be allowed to board ...

Re: PR for retired person

Yes, it looks like it has to be prior to retirement.
But it asks for 3 years of residence (not “exercising treaty rights”) and 12 months of “pursued activity as a worker or self-employed person”.
So it seems to me you should be OK.

Re: Date when one acquires PR

Yea, I understand the logic. The funny thing however is that they granted the adult PR from the date three months before the actual arrival day! As for kids' dates - I have some evidence, but it is 1.5 months difference, in summer we probably will not be in UK anyway, and we are even not convinced w...

Date when one acquires PR

One more funny thing about HO: All our family first arrived to UK in July 2013. But adults were employed in UK from May 1, 2013 (by the University, long story). We clearly stated in the PR application that we all arrived in July 2013. Now the adult family member gets PR letter saying PR counts form ...

Re: Refused Citizenship: Date of Permanent Residence Card and Statement not matching

My understanding is that by the time you apply for citizenship you should - have residence status for 12 month and - be in possession of a EU PR card But you do not need to have the card itself for 12 months. (I.e. if you obtained the PR status more the a year ago, you can apply for PR, get it (with...
