That's a very good news then. I just submitted my applications last week. In my case I'm living here for 7 years now as a dependant of my mother who's an Irish citizen and also living with my Irish citizen sister. Hoping it will only take 6 months. :)

She applied on august 2011 that means they already done processing her applications as the letter stated that the month they're now processing is september 2012. Tell your friend to E-mail the department and follow up her applications...

Is it possible for you to provide a link with this info? Write a letter to DoJ (INIS), explaining the change of circumstance with relevant documents attached. Your stamp can be s=changed in that way.
