Re: OCI Application Experience

Many Thanks for the prompt response !! I applied for OCI on behalf of my 2 kids today at VFS Goswell, thanks to appointment slots made available yesterday. My experience was similar. Re: OCI Application Experience

Many Thanks for sharing your experience in such detail - very helpful. I replicated what you did for minor OCI document upload. 'Previous Indian Passport' category is perhaps now called 'Indian Origin Proof'. For address proof, I uploaded council tax + parents driving license in 1 PDF < 1MB, just to...

Re: Surrendring Indian passport

The passport surrender certificates I received for my 2 kids are in very poor condition - crumpled, almost torn in some areas and with dirt / ink marks indicating mishandling before the certificate was put into an envelope. Is this the norm and expected delivery quality? In any case, I had written ...

So 2 emails were sent in response - first with PDF and then Excel as latter is sometime blocked on account of security concerns (Macros). That is why missing attachments update from caseworker is hard to comprehend.

SET LR Delay

Hi All, My wife and I applied for ILR on 22 Jul 2021 - 10yr route. My wife received her ILR on Nov 09 2021 but I received an email to clarify the Absences Excel file. The online ILR form accepted only 30 entries. So those 30 entries were highlighted in Excel in a different colour from remaining ones...

Re: 10 yr ILR - Council Tax, Eng. Test, Deadline.

Re: BRP Error & Correction - Your experiences please

To share my experience, the solicitor filed a review (within 14 days of receiving BRP) and Home Office took almost 3 weeks to respond. They will rectify the duration of visa and requested BRP back in order to issue the new ones.

Re: Proposed change in rule - Tier2 dependent work

Agreed, not everyone doing a job under SOC list earns 153k+
The proposed measures mention 'Restriction' of automatic rights to work and not 'Barring' them. It may not be a big issue after all.

Re: Proposed change in rule - Tier2 dependent work

You appear relatively well-read on the subject. My understanding, from friends in other attractive English speaking global cities (NYC, Dubai, Singapore, HK), is that there wives can work after completing minimal paper work. I believe London competes with these cities rather than regional hubs and s...

BRP Error & Correction - Your experiences please

Dear Members, Can you please share your experiences with BRP corrections i.e. how much time it takes and if we can delay it with consent from Home office?
