I think you got my post wrong,,,the applicant isn't working towards being a doctor,,,his wife is the doctor and she is his dependant..Her upset was from the fact that her held passport means that she cant take exams regarding to her profession..Nothing to do with working towards being a doctor.

Thank you so much for your reply, I am Nigerian, and he had worked for over two years. He isn't claiming housing benefit as our house is owned outright
should I tell him to apply as a single person? he filled the form as a married man...does this matter or not?
