Re: BRP Card or eVisa?

This is exactly the point that I’m wondering about overseas travel after 31 December 2024 when my BRP expires. No foreign airline check in clerk or border security overseas is going to have some computerised system just to check returning U.K. residents and they are not going to believe or understan...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Well, after 3 cancelled appointments in Cardiff we eventually got our Biometrics Enrolled in Birmingham last Friday. Our application (SET(M) - priority service) was made just prior to lock down and I had previously uploaded about 30 pdf files of supporting documents to the UKVCAS website including n...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Yes. SET M submitted on 17 March with premium service and Biometrics booked that day for 11 April. It was cancelled and moved twice by UKVCAS. Our third appointment was cancelled without notification or refund and I heard nothing further until today. I guess the current phase is to allow those with ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I just got this email and was able to book Birmingham and there appeared to be lots of slots: not my nearest but it'll do. I've been constantly checking all locations for appointments and, I may be wrong, but I reckon you can only see appointments when you get this email (I had an appointment booked...

We booked ours 3 weeks before lock down and thus have the option to book but nothing is available. Hopefully they'll release more slots soon.

I realised today that they cancelled ours for third second time and didn't notify me. The UKVCAS website gives the option to rebook but, as you say, there are no appointments available anywhere ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Re: Return to UK from overseas - expired Visa (Covid)

Your advice is correct. If she is over 18 and leaves the UK, her application for ILR will be considered withdrawn and if her visa expires, she won't be able to return to the UK and will have to find her own visa route and start again from scratch. Thanks! and not withstanding the fact that we've us...

Return to UK from overseas - expired Visa (Covid)

Hi Our application for ILR (premium service) is stuck since the end of March waiting for our UKVKAS bio-metric appointment, which has been rescheduled twice from 4 April originally to 11 July atm. Our current leave to remain expires on 17 June. My daughter is a recent graduate and has a very good jo...

Re: ILR for Over 18 Dependents

Yes SET M. Your mother applies with you and your sisters as dependents. I just did it with my children who were under 18 when the first application under the family route was made 5 years ago. Some of the questions it asks you as a dependent are a bit odd (like what’s your relation to your partner.....

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi Srinivas Once you have submitted Form SET(M) on line and paid the fees to UKVI, you're given a link to register with UKVCAS where you can upload your docs but you cannot book an appointment (all appointments are cancelled). When you manage to book an appointment, you are given the option of addin...

They will postpone it further: your documents are based on the date you submitted SET(M) so no need to update.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Here’s the email that we just received. This is the second cancellation for 3 people and they still have both sets of fees 2 x£330 and the Home Office still have our fees for super priority which they can’t deliver. Challenging times. Stay safe. ______________________________________ UK Visa and Cit...

Re: Application timeline due to COVID

I applied on Sunday for premium and most of the service centres had no appointments. I eventually got one in Cardiff for 2 weeks time but they cancelled that on Tuesday and told me to rebook, which I can’t do because it’s still showing as a live booking and also they’re not going to have any appoint...

SET M not asking for English and Life in UK evidence

Hi I've just filled out the online SET(M) for my wife and her 2 adult daughters (who were under under 18 when leave was first granted under the family route) and I was expecting it to ask us to submit: a) B1 English evidence for my wife: she only had C1 for the 1st and 2nd leave; b) B1 English evide...

Re: Life in the UK Test and under 18 when first granted entry

@rjs200 Yes because she meets the provisio for SET (M) i.e. she was under under 18 when she first was granted leave under the family route. Both of my children were granted their second 2.5 year LR on FLR(M) on exactly the same basis as they’d turned 18 in the first 2.5 years. She does have to get E...

ILR in April - which tax years for financial requirement

I was first granted leave under the family route on 17 April 2015, so am eligible for ILR on 17 April 2020. I am a Partner in a business. In order to meet the financial requirements I have to submit personal and partnership accounts for the preceding tax year (or preceding 2 tax years if I rely on a...

Yes, they need B1 English AND the LIUK as they are over 18. They are not exempt for ILR.
 Thanks Char I feared that might be the case and hence the planning ahead. It'll take me 2 years to get my youngest to sit it and pass it.

Life in the UK Test and under 18 when first granted entry

I am just planning ahead for my ILR application in 2 years time. Is anyone able to clarify please whether my 2 daughters (who are now age 18 and 20 but were under the age of 18 years when they were first granted entry under the family route 3 years ago ) need to pass the Life in the UK test and meet...

Re: Which version of FLR(M) and Health Surcharge

I used the new version of the form 04/15 but there is a 21 day transitional period until 27 April for the old one.

I answered 6.33 simply as "Yes - we share general living costs"
