Hi, You dont need to give the details to DHL or explain anything. Just call them, press the number for collection, someone will answer and you tell him you would like to arrange a collection. Give him the address for collection, the name of the contact for collection (your caseworker's name). Then h...

Hi John, I was starting to gather the docs for translation, and I just received an email from the local british embassy regarding that question!! They said there is no need to send translations, they accept documents both in english and in the native language (either way) for this type of visa. My g...

Hi John, Thank you, I guess it is logical to get it translated... i just didnt want to wait more time to apply... I am trying to check with the embassy who can make the translations, but here they never answer questions by phone and rarely by e-mail. The embassy is about one hour and a half from whe...

Hi, I don't know if it is against the rules or not... But it certainly worked (twice). I called dhl-uk because the local office couldn't arrange the collection (don't understand why). This is the only method for courier arrangement that I am aware... If you come up with any other ways, pls let us kn...

Hi, Are you sure about this? Where did you find this information? I went through all the guidance notes and couldn't find any statement that requires docs to be translated for the EC... I know they need to be translated for HSMP, but I am unsure if it is required for the EC as well, as all the docs ...

Hi, As far as I know, They don't inform you they have received your application by email, unless you email them about it. If you filled out the acknoledgement session of the form, you will receive it, but it might take a while as they send it via regular mail. Mine took almost a month to reach me. A...

EC VAF1 - Doubts

Hi, I have some doubts regarding the VAF1 form.. Hopefully someone out there can help me out... 1. SECTION 1 - WHAT TYPE OF VISA ARE YOU APPLYING FOR? Just to confirm, for this one I should mark "Work Permit Holder" (I got confused on this one because it does not actually say HSMP anywhere...

EC - Do docs need to translated to English?

Hi,

Do the documents for EC need to be translated to English by a sworn translator?

I haven't found any information about it in the local embassy website, in fact, I have read some posts from ppl who didnt provide any translation for the docs.

your comments will be appreciated...

Thanks,
Lu.

Celso,

You are talking about the PETS SCHEME. My cat does not qualify, as my country is yet to be approved by DEFRA.

We are trying to find someone to take my cat for a month here, so we can go to uk first and check out the quarantine facilities ourselves. Also, it will give us time to find a job and settle down. (I have done some job interviews by phone and had VERY positive replies, including job offers). I know ...

Hi, I wonder if any member of this forum had a pet quarantined.... My husband and I are going to London and we are planning to take our cat with us. In my personal opinion (and experience), it's DHL. They are far more polite and prepared than FEDEX. Besides I've read some posts from ppl who had bad experiences when using FEDEX. This is the DHL number for calls outside uk: (00) 44 1332 816960 I am writting this number here because I had a hard ti...

Hello, Sorry to hear about your refusal. Don't give up!!! If you believe you provided enough evidence, request a review. You don't need to send a new application for that. Only send a new application if you want to send additional docs. Just fill out the Review Request Form and add a cover letter st...

For courier collection, you should send the courier form filled out and signed to HSMP. The HSMP won't sign any documents and the courier wont go forward with the collection without this document.
