What do you mean you were away??

If you were out of the country for your holidays, you will include that info in the relevant section of the form. All you need to do is work back and provide 5 full years addresses in UK as you actually stayed at. On the other hand if you had moved to a shared accomodation in the gap that you mention...

Keep this in mind

SQC,

''You should only contact us if you submitted your application over 6 months ago.''

Most of the folks that sent mails got back standardised text. I believe they wont bother to write unless the above is true.
cheers

Friend, They are justified in refusing your visa. The first thing is they look for is whether you have a return ticket or an onward journey. Laspo Act 2012 Sec 139

Chaps, The latest position is the Altered Rehabilitation Periods as per the Laspo Act 2012 have not come into force. For Immigration purposes it does not matter anyway as they have quietly enacted Sec 140 which clearly says ROA 1974 shall not apply for certain immigration decisions. The news is that...

Real Reasons for the delay

Chaps,

The IT support is outsourced to India. Recently there was a change of service provider as per news reports. This could be the cause of the undue delay. Should get resolved as there are clearly defined SLA's.

Good luck
