Ok. I studied the Surrinder Singh route. I have couple questions now. It does not say in regulations for how long is the British citizen and family member are required to live in the other member state. And what might be a proof of such live. Should a BC really live there or is it enough to be regis...

Parent of person present and settled in the United Kingdom

Hi, everybody. I am asking on behalf of my friend. She recently received her PR in UK and will be applying for BC soon. She has a divorced mother living outside UK. Due to family problems her mother has been forced from her flat which than has been sold by her other two children, so now my friend's ...

:D Thanks, Jambo. I never had Mastercard and I think Visa can be debit card as well, though I do not know about this much. Thanks for clarifying for me. In the section 2.5. in “Job title if employed” has she to write his job title – I am not sure about this as it says “if employed” and he is self em...

Non-EEA spouse of EEA national. AN form.

Hi, everybody. I have browsed the British Citizenship section of this forum for a while but still would like to receive a confirmation that I am right in my assumptions. My friend is a non-EEA spouse of EEA national for nearly 6 years (since 2007). She received her PR recently (though it was not nec...

Which form/documents to send for 10y long residence ILR?

I have been living in UK on a student visa since August 2002. In August 2012 I applied for ILR (form SET(O)) on grounds of Lawful Long Residence (10 years), but, as I did not have Life in UK test certificate (I did not have any ID to pass it at that time) UKBA granted me a leave to remain for 2 year...

If over six months, complain and keep doing so until you get satisfaction. That is what she is doing. Not much success for now. Apart from organisations listed before, she wrote to these e-mails http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=81974&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20&...

You are right. I will do everything to get it. The easiest way was to get BRP as the LUK Test center accept it as form of ID. But it seems there are no easy ways with UKBA... It is always a hard way.

I have already done my biometrics last year. I received a Biometric Letter a month after I have sent application for ILR. So they have my biometrics for this application.

The Notice of decision says that I am not qualified for ILR because I did not send a Life in UK Test Certificate. I could not pass the test as I do not hold any ID suitable for test centre. But I have been granted an extension of stay (student visa) on the basis of long residence for the period of 2...

I am feeling your pain and anger. You cant take your embassy to court for breaching your rights.Even if you found the officer responsible for denying you a passport you will probably find he or she is untouchable as they are diplomats. Do you know anyone back home who can arrange a passport for you ...

You say UKBA lost your passport 10 years ago? What have you done about it for the past 10 years. You are better pleading with your embassy telling them your predicament. As for the status papers chase them or better still involve your lawyer or mp. As to my passport it is a long and complicated story...

How long does it take to consider EEA4?

I am writing this question on behalf of my friend. She sent her EEA4 last year. According to the Regulation 18 (2) of The Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006, “The Secretary of State must issue a person who is not an EEA national who has a permanent right of residence under regulat...
