ILR -> Naturalisation

Hello!

I got confused as different lawers say different things.

I'm in the UK for 6 years legally, where 2 out of them as a spuse of a British Citizen. Can I apply for naturalisation the next day after I receive ILR and not to wait for 1 more year?

many thanks.

Hi! thanks for your reply. I thought so as well, but wanted to make sure, if there any loop holes I can use to save 6 months. Well, the marriage is genuine therefore I didn't have problems of switching, also, I asked a lawer and he said that because my status changed I had to change visa as well. Ne...

HSMP to spouse visa. ILR?

Hello! I'd appreciate your reply on my query please. I got HSMP visa in March 2005 for 1 year , in March 2006 extended for further 3 years until March 2009 (1+3 case). In July 2007 got married to a british national and got spouse visa in September 2007. Are there any chances I can apply for ILR now ...

Thank you, John for your comment. I arrived to the UK as a student in 2001 and was a student until 2005 when I switched to HSMP. In 2006 got my 3 year extension (1+3), which is due to expire in 2009 (and depending on the JR this June I'll either need to extend in 2009 for 1 more year or apply for IL...

Status change or not?

Hello!

I'm currently on HSMP and getting married to a british citizen in October. Do I have to change my immigration status or I can stay on what I am now?

Many thanks!

After 2 years on spouse visa, will I be able to apply straight away for naturalization or I'll have to wait 1 more year? That depends upon whether you will be married to a British Citizen or not. The fact that you are talking in terms of a 2-year spouse visa could indicate that either your intended...

COA timings

Dear all! Does anybody from their own experience know, how much time does it take for HO to issue Certificate of Approval for Marriage? They told me it's 14-16 weeks, which is unacceptable, but in reality, is it that long? Also, I read somewhere on this forum that they have lifted 3 months validity ...

Nazam,

If you are asking me then I'm going to apply for the extension in january 2006 and like crazy searching for another job with the lawful employers. But to be sure (if I won't find anything else by Jan) was asking how to present to HO my earnings without having payment slips.

Thx

Hi all!

I'm working in the company and they don't give us payment slips at all. What am I doing is photocopying their cheques issued to me. Sometimes cheques are issued from their own accounts (not company's one). But what to do when my HSMP extension will be due?
weird....

Thx

Time for visa stamp

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know how much time does it for HO to stamp visa (FLR IED) in the passport? (HSMP after approval, in-country application)?

Thank you

I have graduated UK Uni and got MSc last year, but now I'm still on student visa doing MBA and visa is upto the end of Oct. Will I be able to switch into this working FLR visa no...

1 or 3 years visa?

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know which type of visa you can get (1 or 3 years) after HSMP approval applied from the UK? I live here for 5 years so far as a student.

Thanx....

Work experience calculation

Hello! I'm wondering: I'm a F/T student in Britain for 5 years and at the same time I'm employed by the company from my own country for 4 years already. Basically I spend 9 months out of 12 in Britain. Also I have a proof of my earnings. All the necessary documents (contract etc) my company can prov...
