When should I call Croyden to book an appointment. Can I book now for May or is there a time limit? 2.) A...

Being muslim didn't seem to hurt Abu Hamza's nauralisation application. Yes, but he didn't buy a British institution like Harrods. I guess the Queen, the PM and the Home Secretary are still pretty pissed off about that. Are you serious? I don't think the Queen, PM and Home Secretary care two ticks ...

You can have all the WP and HSMP approvals you want in the world, but it's not going to mean squat unless you're able to get leave to remain. Well, that's not I was asking about, was I? Perhaps this statement would be better off told to the children at school, who do not know what obvious things me...

In my humble opinion all embarkation controls serve to do is to deter any overstayers who are considering going back to their home countries from doing so. I also find it interesting that some members of this board should show so little sympathy (empathy?) for their fellow immigrants in this wonder...

Thank you for your prompt responses! Webhunter, I think my HSMP was approved a week earlier than WP because the WP was returned to my employer at some stage asking for more information (vacancy advertisements). The HSMP application was with the Work Permits from 3rd Jan until 18th Jan. The WP was s...

I do believe that the WP regulations allow you to take up supplementary work if it is after office hours and both the new/present employers do not need to seek permission from the Home Office! The stamp in your passport relating to your existing work permit should state something along the followin...

I am not sure about the employment law says in regard to my contract with my new employer. I have signed the contract with them and they have done that from their side. Depending upon your nationality surely it would be easier to just ask for a new passport from your country of origin. Sorry, but no. Those idiots take 3 months to supply a replacement plus lots of other bureaucracy involved including the report from the police or HO that they lost it. Up until now ...

Well just a quick update on the passport application part, I have just noticed that if you apply through the post office, you dont have to provide the original passport you entered the country on, however they want to see your birth certificate in all passport application cases.

I am now waiting out the 12 months in order to apply for my naturalisation. However in the meantime my passport has expired (mid December 2005) I have therefore applied ...

Yes that is an interesting point, I thought the initial fraud was at the point of getting the ancestry visa at the High Commission in Zimbabwe. Unless it has been at both points, i.e. getting the ancestry visa and then subsequently getting the ILR once in the UK?
