My point is this....there is no way that a UK immigration official can know where you have been if there is no stamp to prove it. Sure, you can talk about databases and records etc, but what are they going to do? Contact every country in the world to prove or disprove what you've told them? Do you ...

Although, he might have left the UK without any check (it is usual), his passport would have been endosored with SA immigration stamp on arrival in SA (or any other country upon leaving the UK). Entry clearnce officer will/may locate this during application process. So it is very difficult to hide ...

I am doing mine on 4(WP)+1yr and am not intending to put anything in that box, I think it specifically relates to people who have a file with the home office, probably people who have complex cases.

Well in order to prove citizenship you need a naturalisation certificate or a birth certificate showing you were born in the UK. If you can prove you eligibility to British Citizenship by being born to a British parent then you need to apply seperately to IND for your British Citizenship, after whic...

as far as documents needed, look at page 28 of the Form AN (NEW) it gives you a list of what you need. (it talks about posting however they are the same things you need to take to the NCS when you go)

Thanks for the reply. Is it still 5 years even though I got ILR before the 5-year change? I think the rule only changed this year, so it should be 4 years. I'll have to check that. Yes, I'll have to see the JCWI for their advice, since it's a very tricky situation for me. I have read almost everyth...

Don't understand, you had you ceremony and are postponing applying for British Citizenship? Sounds like you already have it if you have been to your ceremony?

I am currently under WP in UK (thru an Indian IT company). Recently I started looking for jobs elsewhere. But the main problem is that everyone says "You've wonderful CV but we can't sponsor WP". In reality, change of WP is much easier than fresh WP application (as the 3-month ad requirem...

I'm a white female on the same visa as your wife and my financial advisor told me straightaway that my husband and I would not be able to get a mortgage through a high street bank. Full stop. There's no point in complaining as all high street banks are the same. That sounds like slightly 'dodgy' ad...

Thanks for the help - the only problem we have now is that the property is basically now ours, and our move-in date is now supposed to be less than one month away. Re: Applying for mortgage - wife Chinese on marriage visa. H

They then informed us we could go ahead and make offers, which we did (on a fixed price property). Being a fixed price propert...

What method did you use for your application? Postal or NCS?

Although they officially deny it, NCS route appears to happen a lot quicker.
