It is the duration of marriage that matters, not the residence card. As long as she has been married to you for 5years and you have been execising treating right during the 5 year period , she should be able to apply. Hope this helps. Thank you for your advise.. the reason why i was or i'm planning to become british is mostly for my daughter future her life is here now but if she is already british then things change. I will apply for her passport directly then.
