Re: Applying 1st British Passport Overseas after Naturalisat

Thanks CR001, you are so helpful as always. 1. That raises something very interesting; I am actually a registered traveller so I don't fill any landing cards, getting visa checked nor fingers scanned, so I can literally come in through e-gate without any questions asked. That being said, the travell...

Re: Naturalisation: Absence > Required Residence Requirement

Have you read the AN Guide? HO can exercise a certain amount of discretion with the absence limits. It tells you exactly how much in there. tks, yes i have but did you read my post? i fully understand my own situation, my query was to if anyone who are/were in similar situation can share their case...

Naturalisation: Absence > Required Residence Requirement

Hi all, I understand that as part for the residence requirement for Naturalisation application; appliants are required to be in the UK for <450(480) for the last 5 years; and <90 (100) for the last year. I had a 69-day work related absence and a 24-day medical related absence in the very last year, ...

Re: ILR with spent criminal offence

I ended up sourcing a solicitor because I did not want any dramas; she queried my situation with a senior case worker and received firm confirmation that this spent criminal offence would not cause my application to be rejected. After 3 hours of waiting in boiling Croydon Lunar House today, my ILR i...

Re: ILR - continuous period in UK T1(G)

Regarding absences, I'd list your absences in a self certified letter, along with the letter your employer has provided. Additionally the case worker guidance does state that the requirement for evidence in form of employer letters may be disregarded so long as the applicants' absences fall within ...

Re: TV Licence Offence ILR dependent and Criminality Thresho

I think this is what I would have, keep it as simple as possible and attached ur court letter. F1. Have you been convicted of any criminal offence in the UK or any other country? - YES - Nature of the Offence - Use of TV without a licence. - Sentence given - Sentenced to pay fine of £1**. - Date sen...

Interesting, because my solicitor asked to disclose it; since you have a solicitor, just follow their instruction then, maybe they will ask you to write a letter or something.

Pervious Earnings Calculation, a quick question.

Hi all, A very quick question regarding pervious earning calculation, is it based on the days which you worked or on the date you were paid? so say, if you worked from 1st through to 15th of May and was paid on the 23rd of May, can I include this payment on the 23rd if my 12 months goes from 23-May-...

Re: TV Licence Offence ILR dependent and Criminality Thresho

Hi Ragu;

I would think F1, (given if it was a civil case, it wouldn't have been dealt by Magistrate Court,) just put in facts and make sure your attached the court letter; given your offence was minor, i wouldn't think you will be questioned at all.

Hope this help a little.

Re: ILR- Absence from UK whilst unemployed

Hi Rajendra, thanks for sharing your valuable experience, may I ask what have you stated in your personal letter in order to explain your absence while you were unemployed and on contract role? i.e. what are the necessary components to be included?

Re: ILR - continuous period in UK T1(G)

2) Edit - Reading the SET(O) form guidance, it appears that an employer letter is now required to confirm absences (irrespective of whether they were for business or just annual leave), even for T1G migrants (this wasn't the case 2 years ago when I applied, so it appears the guidance has changed). ...

Re: ILR- Absence from UK whilst unemployed

Also scoring points verification is only done during extensions and during ILR/Tier 1 visa renewal. Even if your qualifying years had low income if below points is fine as long as necessary points are achieved during extensions/ILR application Hi Argus7, truly valid point, and it leads to my next q...

Re: TV Licence Offence ILR dependent and Criminality Thresho

Hi Ragu; I had an unspent conditional discharge from Magistrate Court when I applied for my extension in 2013. I had a solicitor through work handling my case and according to her 322(1C) doesn't apply to extension application. So you won't be rejected because you are convicted to a minor offence at...
