Re: NCS Application- date of application vs date of receipt

Excellent. I was travelling a lot 5 years back and it was stressful trying to figure out an appropriate date to apply.

If anyone finds any HO note which confirms this, would be very helpful.

Thank you!

Vinny, I read recently on the forum that now date of application with NCS is considered to be the date of receipt by home office. Could you confirm please?

Re: NCS Date of application

There was a recent post which says otherwise Today, I called NCS Ayelsbury and they advised me that recently home office has changed the policy for NCS applicants and now the effective date of application will be ncs appointment date and not when the home office received the application. Link enclos...

Hi Everyone,

I just read that now days of application with NCS is considered to be the date of receipt. Is this correct?

Could someone please post a link where I can find the information?

Many Thanks,

Spikey, I believe it is the day Home office receives it. It is confusing but everyone on the forum has confirmed this.

Re: NCS Date of application

Section 3.2 of the link vinny posted https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/444593/Chapter_18_B.pdf seems to indicate that I may apply on 14th October 2015, if I was physically present in the country on 15 October 2010. Could someone please confirm this? Many Thanks!

NCS Date of application

Technically, the date of application is the date when home office receives the application. Does that mean I can submit the application to NCS on a date when I was not in the country 5 yrs back. Suppose the first date after completion of my ILR is 15 October 2015. Can I have an appointment on 14th O...

Re: NCS Application- date of application vs date of receipt

Hi Fwd079 Thanks for sharing HO doc in Vinny's previous post where it clearly states that the date of application is the date when HO receives the application. You're right. It seems interesting, but Hammersmith NCS Officer's statement that they have an arrangement with HO seems confusing and misle...

Re: NCS Application- date of application vs date of receipt

Thank you for the answers. My timeframe is tight. Else could mean that I have to wait 3-4 months before I can apply again. I was trying to get it sorted out at the earliest. One more question question, could I book ncs appointment on 22nd. Even though I was not in the country on the 22nd 5 years ago...

NCS Application- date of application vs date of receipt

I I had a question for people who have previously applied for their naturalisation at an NCS. I will be applying for my citizenship via the NCS route and wanted to ask how soon after the appointment at NCS was the application received by the UKBA. I was out of the country on assignment on the day I ...

Re: ILR via Limited Co. and Dividents

Technically, you can only use the earnings in a the same year towards your income + dividends. There is no issue from HMRC perspective how you pay out dividends. But for visa applications Home office may ask for P&L statement, invoices and invoice summary to prove that the dividends you have cla...

What happens if your application is deferred for further checks? Do you get to keep your passport and BRP or do they keep it? It is taking upto 6 months for some applications!

Re: Tier 1 Eligibility Start Date

The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period, as long as it does not exceed 90 days. This can occur if the applicant is delayed travelling to the UK. The period of delay will not be counted as an absence if it does not...

Tier 1 Eligibility Start Date

I was on Tier 2 ICT visa from June 2009. In November 2009, I switched to Tier 1 (G) abroad and entered the UK in November 2009. However, while entering the UK, the border officer used the tier 2 visa for letting me into the UK. They did not cancel the Tier 2 visa I used the tier 1 visa for the first...

ILR Question - 6.1 When did you first enter UK?

I am trying to complete the SET(O) form and I a bit confused with the following question 6.1 When did you first enter UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which the application is based. I first came to UK on Tier 2 on 13 June 09. I mo...

Re: Life in UK test Meterial

I am trying to book an appointment for the life in uk test and it is showing no availability for 2 months. Any tips from the forum members how to book appointments? Is there a time of the day recommended when cancellations are refreshed?

Would appreciate your tips! Thanks!

Re: ILR max stay outside country

I have been told that the 24 month rules has changed. The new rule is that if you are staying away from UK more than you are staying inside UK, they can stop you at the border. It sounds a bit vague so please check.

Varun, I am in the same boat as you. While looking at P60s, my NI contributions for first 2 years is 0. I also came here on T2-ICT but moved on to T1-G within 6 months. It is not clear what UKBA are looking for in the P60s.
