Re: OCI Application - supporting documents

Thanks! I spoke to a couple of friends and they have not provided the birth certificate. It seems the vfs have said that if you include the surrender certificate then birth certificate not required. Which makes sense, since the Indian passport had DOB and place. But leave it to Indian high commissio...

OCI Application - supporting documents

I will be applying for my OCI application after receiving my UK naturalisation. I have also recently applied and received my surrender certificate. The VFS website mentions birth certificate in the list of supporting documents and I do not have my birth certificate with me. Is this a mandatory docum...

Re: Name at Birth

thanks Suzuka, did you get your approval yet? It is one of the unsolved mysteries of the home office, who knows why it took them 3 weeks to mail the approval..I am just glad that the waiting is over and major steps in the process (Tier2->Tier1->Tier1 renewal (twice)->ILR->Naturalisation) are now com...

Name at Birth

So I applied for my naturalisation, and just got my approval.

My query is that the field "name at birth" is left blank. Is this alright? Or should it be my name as it has not changed since birth?

Passport Application- photos

Hi, a quick question, I am helping a friend apply for the passport. I have submitted the application online and need to now send the declaration by post. I wanted to know do we need to glue the photos to the form or should I just send it in the same envelope? In case, I need to glue the photo, which...

Re: Application for UK passport online vs. Check and send

Thanks for the prompt response CR001.

I read on the forum somewhere that you could send photocopy of all the pages of your un-cancelled passport with the online application. Just realised there is no need to send the BRP as it needs to be returned to home office.

Application for UK passport online vs. Check and send

Hi, A friend is applying for their passport and debating whether to use online application versus post office check & send. Main concern is around whether the post office will keep original passports and BRP. Or will they photocopy your documents and return Originals? Also, is there any differen...

Re: Passport with ILR lost - naturalisation process

Thanks CR001. So is it ok if she doesn't apply for a replacement BRP and waits for her naturalisation process outcome.

Also, if she doesn't have a proof of ILR, how does it impact her status here?

Passport with ILR lost - naturalisation process

Hi All, A close friend of mine has lost her passport with ILR stamp inside UK. She has filed for her naturalisation through NCS about 4 months ago and awaiting home office response. I wanted to ask what she is supposed to do now? She has informed the local police and received a reference number. She...

Yes, she just gave me a standard letter with a reference number. And she said she would be going to post office in afternoon to send to HO.

NCS Application- acknowledgement

Re: NCS Appointment

I am travelling over the Christmas break and just want to get the application over with. I don't really care if they start looking at it in january, just want to file and get on with other things.

I just want to make sure that technically there are no issues in the application.

NCS Appointment

Also, i was travelling for work assignment 5 years ago so I had limited presence in the UK at that time. The new (oct...

Re: Form enquiry

Exactly, i am referring to what is clearly stated in the latest AN form. I have made my appointment based on what is written on the form.

I thought my query was related to the point being made on this thread. That is why i replied and not started another thread.

supporting documents

I was looking through AN form and it is asking for one of the following supporting documents for evidence of freedom from immigration time restrictions. It does not list BRP as an option. This is silly but do I need to find home office letter that came with BRP? shouldn't the brp be sufficient? SECT...
