Re: views on renouncing brtish citizenship for eea permt

I have a question. What is the sense for a US citizen to apply for a family permit? A US citizen has the right to enter the UK anyway via his passport. You're right, they can enter the UK without having a visa, but they don't have an absolute right to enter, i.e. if they've had immigration issues w...

Re: UK Overstayed Student Now in Ireland for Asylum

under the Dublin 2 agreement, they may be aware that you moved from UK, and you could find yourself being returned back to the UK. I m little skeptical about your comments above because it seems UK is not signatory to this Dublin II or Dublin III agreement. It is between European Union..... .....can...

For renunciation we need to show that my wife as other nationality(Irish) then British. Re: Irish citizen with US wife, moving to Ireland

Northern Ireland is not an option for us, neither is the UK in general. We moved to the US from England in early 2013 but going back to England as an EU citizen bringing in a non-EU spouse is an arduous task, plus it seems that most non-EU citizens in the UK are having to keep looking over their sh...

Re: Irish citizen with US wife, moving to Ireland

I am an Irish citizen looking to move to Ireland from the US, with my US wife. I understand that as a US citizen, she is a non-visa required national, and can enter Ireland straightaway when we land. My question relates to the new financial requirements of €40k over a three-year period. Is there fl...

Re: Applied for FBR since applications route thorugh Ireland

These people are abusing our ludicrous citizenship laws so they can bypass our European partners immigration laws. Any Irish person that welcomes this is just as much a scummer as those abusing our passports. An American born in America will never be Irish. That they have an Irish passport is paten...

Re: EEA national spouse visa denied

An EEA family permit is a document for nationals that live outside the European Economic Area (EEA) but have a family member living inside the EEA who is not UK citizen. The non-EEA national will need to be journeying with the EEA national or joining them in the UK. Seems here that is all a great a...

Re: Residence card for EEA valid?-Outside the UK for 2.5 yea

Hi Obie, Thank you for your reply. If she enters as a non-visa national, given her US citizenship, they would ask her what is the purpose of her visit. If she says that she is moving to the UK with me then she would get in trouble. So, I am curious as to how her non-visa national status could help ...

Re: Wife to be dual national could any1 help EEA OR FLRM

Well I am perfectly content with you not agreeing with me. That is what makes an healthy debate. My view is that, it is at least arguable , that the article in question will be nugatory , if national authority refuses tje right of an Irish citizen to recognise herself only as Irish. In the case of ...

Guys, what banks open accounts to EEA family members with COAs and those in the process of applying for RC? I think you do not need to be overdoing this. You do not need to be hyper-legal-active and be emailing all the embassies. Every embassy wesbsite now states that article 10 card holders do not need a visa. You may just take a printout from the relevant embassy websites, and be on your way. Airlines ...
