Why don't you try calling ukba or emailing them about this query,cause I m sailing in the same boat.till date no body gave me the right answer for my 150 days absences (when I went to my home country)and was unemployed.
I myself m so confused abt this,I mailed ukba ,but no reply.

Hi, But when you were visiting ur family back home,were u employed or not.if you get an employer letter ,saying tht you were on ur annual holidays it should be ok. Else this situation is definitely a grey area.cause ukba had no clear answers for it.And no one knows what the rules for ILR will be in ...

But If u were 4 to 5 months unemployed too,u were still in UK,so tht seems to be alright.lets wait for few months and see why ukba is upto.i must say they seem to me like ringmasters in rule implementing ...

I think they will give 3years to everybody and if not still satisfying the 5yr requirement give the extra years to them

No no I went through the stmt too,nothing I found strange abt.they can't just stop early ext in such a less time .
