I still can't believe that being British also I just messed our hard earned RC(that also was a very complicated case)

I am on maternity leave until 2017 May. So HO gonna contact husband that his RC isn't valid anymore? Does it means that he is illegal now? Does he need to give up his job? Does he need to leave the country??
I am on maternity leave. We have an 8 weeks daughter.We have no family in this country.I can't afford him leaving us.. :(((((

We are together since 2010 May and applied for family residence permit in 2013 March and received it in 2013 September.
I become BC in 2016 June.(So for 2 years and 9 months I was only Hungarian)

Do you think he still has his rights to stay here and apply for PR after his 5 years completed?
