I applied for D catergory also in my original visa application, but they have crossed it and changed it to C type. They told me for D type i need to submit employment contract, tax forms, etc from the spouse working in Ireland.

Ok, that's atleast the good part that they gave him the PPS number on time. But yea it doesn't outweighs that he was so rude. May I ask what documents did you give in to get PPS number for your husband? No he could not refuse it! he was normal and polite towards my husband but only to me he was rude.
