Unfortunately, I am not sure what a "Dutch travel document" is, if it is not a passport. I also think it should be the place you got it from before. If that was in the Netherlands, then why not give the nearest Dutch embassy a call and check with them?

Sorry, can you explain it again please? Do you have a Dutch passport and a UK residence card and the passport has expired? You will get a new passport from your embassy (the Dutch embassy in the UK if you are Dutch).

What about if we have the RC as Immigration Status Document and had to get a new passport? Do we need to inform the HO and can we still travel?
Cheers

[quote="WebMonkey"]Something weird is happening with my application, maybe someone here can shed some light on it. I applied for EEA4 via Retention of Rights in October 2012, been chasing the UKBA like a mad person since the 6 months elapsed. I've complained twice via email and once via si...

Damage claims and complaints to UKBA

We recently applied for an EEA2 RC for my husband which was issued only after 7.5 months. In the process, UKBA also lost his passport. We are going to file a complaint to UKBA but were wondering for which costs we could claim compensation? Surely, replacement of the passport but what about travel co...

That's good news. Keep chasing the case up every few days. I thought the technical issues should be resolved by now but maybe they have a bit of a backlog of cases now.

Hi, thanks for the advice. We will submit a detailed list with costs and receipts. We were less angry about the processing time than about the loss of my husband's passport. We had plans to travel in two weeks for a big family party, which is impossible now. :(

I am not an expert on self-employment documents but is seems the second set of documents were not received by HO, hence not considered. Do you have a receipt that the documents definitely arrived at the HO? Did you mention you case ID when you sent them? Quite possibly, they never made it into your ...

It is definitely not normal. Now that your 6 months are over, please contact them. I would write something along the lines of the legally allowed processing time has passed and therefore you request that your application will be decided asap. Further you demand to know about the wherabouts of your p...

Exactly. Your registry office will know best which documents they require in order to marry you. If you wanted to get married in Denmark, again, contact the registry office there first.

They tried to return our passpors to us (it was an EEA2 application btw) and then realised they are not with the rest of our file. They searched for a bit without success. So atm they are lost within the UKBA. It would be so great if they could find them as my husband is Iranian and there is no emba...

If you get all the documents together the registry office requires, then you certainly can get married. And then quickly apply for EEA2. The EEA2 application can take long but as long as it is ongoing your partner would be allowed to stay in the UK.
I would give your local registry office a call asap.

Hi Dennis, firstly, I am not aware of any clause that says you have to be an EU citizen for so and so many years before your partner can apply for EEA2. I would say the fact that you are now is sufficient. For a durable relationship, evidence of 2 years of living together is required. To prove that ...

What I would firstly do is to check what documents the UK requires to recognise a marriage in Pakistan as legal. Then once you are married, your husband can apply for an EEA family permit from Pakistan. You would have to show that you reside in the UK and are exercising treaty rights. Once he obtain...
