Yes if court has convicted. For any non custodial sentence, you need to wait for at least 3 years from the date of conviction.

Did you take them in booth? Usually booth ones aren't accepted.
We once applied for French visa and they refused the photos taken in booth.

No just the letter. It takes about half an hour and just go through the interview questions. There are plenty posted here.

1. Shouldn't be an issue if that is the only offence.
2. If your ILR is stamped on passport then yes that should be enough. If you have BRP then you need to send that as well.

It was because of the lady at the NCS who insisted that I need to declare..I raised the same argument and didn't want to push as she said as per procedure I should declare it and it is upto the home office to decide..she also said it shouldn't be an issue in my case I have paid the penalty on time ...

Yes unless your expired passport have been cancelled.
A cancelled passport will have it's corner cut off or cancelled stamped on.
I have recently found out that some authorities cancel the expired passports.
