It can take up to couple of weeks for documents to be sent back. Have seen few people receiving the documents a week after receiving the passport.

Guys, Do the passport staff send back the documents with the appointment letter or they hold it there you go to the interview? Thanks For me and wife, it arrived the same day we received the interview letter. Inter letter came in normal post while documents delivered by DX as we chose secure return.

Use the correct information. If you use German again then that will be considered as deception. If you are asked about it, you can explain the mistake.
It shouldn't really cause an issue as your father's nationality can't change HO's decision as long he is not British.

Well it was based on the personal experience and I have read the similar advice some where in this thread that we need to send the current passport and that's why I send my current passport only. Are you British from birth? Through your parents? Were you born in the UK? British citizen can only pass British citizenship once generation if born abroad so if you received BC by decent, you can't pass it further. Alot of people on here pay the extra fee for NCS. But it doesn't necessarily make it faster. I sent my app via post next day special delivery (~£7) and received the approval as fast as anyone else that paid the extra for NCS. I don't see the point of it unless they give you back your original passp...
