Re: Naturalisation app MN1, AN with possible emigration inte

Just following up on this, I submitted application with just my son's national EU id documents, passport was not provided. I included comment on the cover letter explaining that ID's are provided (current and expired) since my son was using those ID's exclusively while crossing the UK border, howeve...

Re: EEA section 2.4 & 2.5

You can apply after 5 years (since WRS registration - assuming you have been working, studying, etc.) for permanent residency status - so called ILR - if you want to, having ILR status for 12 month you can apply for citizenship. You can also apply directly for naturalisation after 6 years (w/o apply...

Re: Naturalisation app MN1, AN with possible emigration inte

I don't have faith in any common sense with relation to home office case workers, they already gave me nothing but troubles with my wife's - quite simple - ILR application. I don't think they would even get back to me, i'm quite certain they simply turn down application (when having doubts about it)...

Re: EEA section 2.4 & 2.5

From what I read You have been "EU worker" for past 8 years, and this is what you should add to the table, just split the the time and register all details in there i.e: i would add something like that: 06-14 - EU worker - Employed full time (also owned a business between 08 and 09 on top ...

Naturalisation app MN1, AN with possible emigration intent

I would like to register my lad (14 years old) as a British citizen - app MN1, he was born abroad, and have been living in UK for past 8 years. I'm British myself, naturalised a year ago. On top of that my wife is just about to submit her naturalisation application for herself as well (as a wife of ...

Re: MN1 application - EEU national no passport at entry

Thanks, i calmed down a little bit, however per following chapter: Future intentions (p.39) 9.17.2 The most important criterion is that the child's future should clearly be seen to lie in the UK. A reliable indicator should be the applicant's and/or the family's past behaviour. If that suggests an e...

Re: MN1 application - EEU national no passport at entry

Many thanks for your follow up Jambo, I have additional question, though. I applied for American PR status (green card) some time ago and just last week I received confirmation that my Immigrant Visa is granted, as such my family is given one as well. At this point there are no plans for my family t...

hi all, I would like to register my lad (14 years old) as a British citizen - app MN1, he was born abroad, and have been living in UK for past 8 years. I'm British myself, naturalised a year ago. MN1 application should be accompanied with child passport as far as I see (the one used at first entry a...

Re: ILR EEA3 Application Refusal for EEA Worker Family Membe

Jambo, Would PR status be backdated for EEA national(s) in similar cases? Say EU national and family member of an EEA worker, resides in uK for 6 years, I understand that such person can apply for confirmation of the ILR status, which is granted "automatically" after 5 years. So I assume t...

Re: BC / Naturalisation for unemployed wife (EEA citizen).

As answered on the other thread, there might be a problem to apply "family member" status of EEA worker
to yourself, since your husband cannot be treated as an EEA worker. There might be other (non EU) routes
for you to gain PR status, though.

Re: ILR EEA3 Application Refusal for EEA Worker Family Membe

Sanami, I have not heard anything back from HO as yet, its been a week since I posted the letter to them, so likely I will need to open an appeal case, it looks like they simply ignored my request for reconsideration of our case. Please note my wife's case is different from yours as I had been exerc...

Re: ILR EEA3 Application Refusal for EEA Worker Family Membe

That's what I actually did, letter was posted on Thursday, although I sent it back to relevant emigration centre with just department name on it and w/o case worker name, so this may delay things a little bit. I'm astonished, though, especially reading other posts, by a lack of knowledge on basic im...

Re: BC / Naturalisation for unemployed wife (EEA citizen).

Hi Jaeger, Yes her details as she was main applicant were in section 1 and mine in section 3, and 7 (where I documented my employment status for affected period of time). I added cover letter for a reason, and I tried to emphasise that she is applying as family member of a person exercising treaty r...

ILR EEA3 Application Refusal for EEA Worker Family Member

First of all apologies for cross post, I have already submitted the post on the topic on the BC forum http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=142655 however this was follow up the to the earlier discussion so I'm submitting another (slightly edited) post here, since this forum is s...

Re: BC / Naturalisation for unemployed wife (EEA citizen).

Hi all, As promised, few months later, as a follow up I'm submitting new post which illustrates current situation (see previous posts on the details), hopefully someone will benefit from the thread. My wife's EEA3 application had been refused (I'm outlining details below) I likely appeal on the Home...

Thanks again, boloney, for your response. I had been thinking about it as well yesterday while reviewing different posts, and I came in to the same conclusion. I'm going to submit my application for BC first, once all my documents are sent back (P60, emplyment letters, WRS, ...), I'm going to submit...

Thanks for the follow up booloney, If I got you right she should apply for a PR throughout my statutory rights as EEA worker even if she has not worked. I don't have PR myself (I understand that this will be granted / approved automatically in my case - during naturalisation process), again I unders...

BC / Naturalisation for unemployed wife (EEA citizen).

Hi all, I'm seeking for an advice I would appreciate any input on the matter, details are given below. I believe it might be common situation for many folks out there and as I haven't found any posts close enough to our situation, I decided to write and ask for help on my wife's case. I'm EEA countr...
