Re: 10 years long residence applications

You can try on these email ids - SettlementOpsPolicy@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk FamilyOpsPolicy@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk So who confirmed that he is eligible, is it the settlement check service or the home office ? When have you booked for PEO appointment ? My understanding is that 6th April rules apply to ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

My understanding is that 6th April rules apply to all ILR(LR) dependants regardless they are on PBS or not. If you think Tier 2 dependants prior to July 2012 are exempt from this, then your husband would have got 2 years visa on his FLR(M) visa rather than 2.5 years ? Probably it would be good to ta...

Re: pre july 2012 PBS dependants - Petition

Hi Amber, What do documents do we send when applying for FLR(M) and filling in section 7(A). Is it only 6 months pay slips...is that enough or we also need to provide 6 months bank statements showing salary for those 6 months ? Is an employer letter also needed when you provide with 6 months salary ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Thanks for your message. So do they (Settlement check service) check whether SET(M) is the right application to apply for ILR ? Do they also see whether you have qualified for ILR or not ? eg- ILR(LR) dependants have to now wait for for 5 years regardless whether they came before July 2012 or not ? ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi Lemar, Isn't the settlement check service only for postal applications as the council itself verifies your documents and then sends it to the Home Office ? Or you can go to the PEO also with the settlement check service ? Thanks for the replies. One member actually lost the complete fee which con...

Re: pre july 2012 PBS dependants - Petition

Hi fuzzyhu, Can you be more clear - who are exempt from filling the section 7A ? I would assume, most of us applying for FLR(M) came to UK on a spouse visa ? Spoke to immigration officer got myself worried as I thought I wont be able to apply for ilr if ive put in app to extend visa cause of life in...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Woww....that's very interesting. Well, if you have got 2 years visa for your wife using FLR(M), you could straightaway apply for her ILR as she has got 2 years visa and not 2.5 years. Dear Members, I need advice about immigration case of my wife. I was granted ILR on 14th April 2014 on 10 year Long ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi With regards to your queries, 1. Your wife would have to apply for FLR(M) once you get your ILR(LR). 2. No documents needed for your ILR(LR) application. Only your passports covering 10 years over here, Life in UK certificate and English language evidence. If you have studied here, then your degr...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi Vimi, I don't think your daughter could apply for SET(M) following FLR(M). The rules are changed since 06th April 2014. It means all SET(LR) dependents applying for FLR(M) have to wait for 5 years for settlement. BUT as your daughter would complete 10 years in December, that would be the best and...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Well, if your dependant's visa is valid until Dec 2015, you can also wait till you get a decision on your ILR(LR). Once you receive decision on ILR(LR), then you can go in person at PEO to apply for FLR(M). That would be a better idea, I think. Thanks for the prompt response Hi pulathisilk, You will...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi pulathisilk, You will have to apply on FLR(M) form for your dependant. Write a covering letter with this FLR(M) form mentioning to link the application to your application which is ILR(LR). Also mention to hold the application till a decision has been made on your application. Send photocopies of...

Re: pre july 2012 PBS dependants - Petition

I think you need to show pay slips (6/12 months) if you going to fill Section 7A. If you are filling section 7B and not section 7A, then you need to give evidence that you and your dependent are able to adequately maintain you and any dependants in the United Kingdom without recourse to public funds...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

I don't think his long residency is broken. Also for the gap between 09/01/2011 to 15/02/2011, he was in his home country. So that won't count as time spent without a valid visa as this time wasn't spent in UK. Any senior can comment on this ? 28 days out of date application is accepted by Home Offi...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi Chemist, You don't have to be in the same category during all the 10 years. As long as you don't have any gap between your previous applications, you haven't overstayed without any valid visa and your 10 years stay is legal you would be fine. Also you shouldn't have left the country for 180 days ...

Re: pre july 2012 PBS dependants - Petition

That's really sad. I agree that the rule is there and they would act according to the rules. It's really unfortunate that only LR dependants are facing with this problem. I am sure if a JR is carried out they would change the rule for pre July 2012 LR dependants. Hello Guys, Just call to HO regardin...
