hi everyeon, in view of the recent changes, i have a query...
i am about to apply for my hsmp extension in sometime,
how will i be effected ? is HO going to give me an 4 year extension instead of 3 ?? if not what can be the scenario ?

unfortunately employment contract doenst say about your work and job responsibilities, which are mandatory. considering past experiences, caseworker considers only the employment reference letter.
you can ask your current employer,stating you need that for your higher stuides etc...

i dont think it is mandatory to submit salary slip for getting EC approved.
i switched from WP to HSMP (in country) submitted only bank statements.
IMHO couldnt see any clause where salary slip is mandatory..

Hi,
I agree with lbfrancois 100%. your reference letter should contain the direct landline contact number and alternate number like mobile etc of the manager who is signing the ref. letter.so that BHC can contact the mgr itself. such small things in HSMP appln makes lot of difference.

Hi avwifiguy, My understanding is if you can submit last 12 months salary slips/income tax document .. that is suffice.. i dont think you need to worry about your jobless for 7 days or so.. it doesnt count becoz you are submitting 12 months salary slips and meeting the criteria to claim salary point...

as per my personal exp. Jobcentreplus takes min 3 weeks to arrange an interview for NI number and they might require confirmed interview letter or appointment letter when you meet them.

Hi, being Indian i know the problems involved with ref. letter. But unfortunately HO might not accept self attested letters....... it has to be on company's letterhead and signed by your immediate manager also mentioning his landline number.... speak with your mgr and try to get it... if not .... al...

both are no way related. Workpermit is issued by employer not by individual HSMP is being applied individually and no involvement of any employer etc.Both can co-exist.
