Re: Passport application – Section 3 (uncancelled passports)

imran22 - yes, I think you are correct and also assume that there are 3 spaces for up to 3 passports for people who have dual or multiple citizenship (or for some reason more than one for the same country as per the link above). Therefore, most people should only have one current (uncancelled) passp...

Place of Birth in British Passport

Hi Team, I just received my first British Passport - just a question, should the "place of birth" section say the town or city you were born in PLUS the country. Mine just says the city (and there are cities of that name in other countries as well). I assume they just have that further cou...

Re: Passport application – Section 3 (uncancelled passports)

I think you should include ALL passports that you hold that are current (not cancelled). I entered on a passport that has since long expired so I didn't include it. I only included my current one. The check and send guy said it was ok (I explained I no longer had the original passport that I entered...

Re: British Passport Interview - Preparation + Docs to take

VR - haha, the strongest thing I will have before hand is a cup of tea!

ban.s - thanks for the link!

Also, by the way, called the appointment line people and they confirmed that the only thing I need to bring to the interview is my letter with my reference number.

Thank you!

British Passport Interview - Preparation + Docs to take

Hi All, I have my passport interview soon. Other than the letter confiriming my appointment time and reference number, do I need to take anything else with me? Do I need to take any ID or anything? I think when I booked my interview they said I didn't need to take anything other than the letter. Als...

Passport Interview - Failure? Second Interview

Hi All, I am going in for my British Passport interview soon. I understand that the purpose of the interview is to prevent identity fraud and so the interview is not an "exam" or pass / fail type of scenario as such (unless, of course, the interviewer does not think you are genuinely the p...

Passport Application - delivery - SMS notifications?

Hi All, I have just applied for my British Passport (through check and send). I work full time so won't be able to be home at my home address through the working week. Anyway, I have nominated secure delivery. I have a couple of questions. First, will they definitely require a signature or will they...

How long does it take to get invitation letter? Hey - seems to be different approval letters. Some approvals say call the council to book your ceremony (and you dont need to wait for another letter), other approval letters ask you to wait for your invite letter to arrive separately. From looking at...

Some people seem to argue (on earlier threads on here) that you "should" leave and enter on the "local" passport if you're a citizen of the country you are leaving and entering on. However, I have not seen any formal guideance on this and it doesn't seem to make any sense for EU...
